Introducing a new series of Vinyl Sessions from Ras Gilbert (Ras G) of Shashamani Sound and Many Mansions Music out of Texas. These vinyl sessions are designed to showcase a different level of Vinyl Mixology from Ras Gilbert, drawing from over 25 years of devotion to the vinyl medium, and drawing from a library of music collected for 3 decades. In collaboration with Yellow Cup Studios, and filmed in Austin, Texas, these sessions offer an intimate view of curated and freestyle sessions presented in the moment. Classic Lovers Rock chune. Jandro’s was an awesome spot back then. San Antonio had Saltwater Slide, Free Dem Sesh, Kaya Kotura, so many great local reggae bands and others I’m forgetting. Of course Audic Empire, Bum Lucky, Proof of Life, Th3rd Coast Roots, were also great out of Texas too. Sadly I moved away from there not long after 2018
