Kimmel's Irish Pub

I spend a lot of time watching movies & TV, analyzing fantasy football and drinking beer. Kimmel's Irish Pub was built so that I can share my experiences with you. Since I would much rather watch a video than read something, all of my reviews, advice and opinions have been recorded to a video.

Late Night with the Devil Movie Review
The girl accidentally killed the alien, in exactly the same way as she had killed her friend.
I saw this in a moviehouse a number of weeks ago and I have to say it wasn't very good. I almost walked out, but I stuck it out. It is to bad b/c they could have made something decent from this premise, but they just didn't. I guess one minor bright spot was there were good looking folks in it, but it wasn't good in my opinion. Not good. You are correct Jacob over acted and his character was not written well so that didn't work out. I liked the other movies and this was bottom of the barrel my good friend.
I was about to throw in the towel on Kimmel's Irish Pub. I have not see an new installment for about a week. I like Glen, but IDK, I don't really love the premise of this film and your critiques echo what other critics have said. Maybe I will give this a see at some point anyhow. Seems ok.
This guy needs to find another hobby...
I am hypnotized by your amazing reviews each day shortly after 5PM when they are released. True story.
I saw it. I didn't really care for it. It was okay. Just okay. I don't get why either of the guys would want to be with Zendaya's character b/c she constantly cheated and was unfaithful in her marriage. Why would you want her? Plus I didn't like the ambiguous ending. I just didn't care for it and didn't get the high ratings, but seeing it once for free at home is fine. I think that what you were getting at is the love triangle made me feel sort of dirty and Zendaya's character was awful..This only did well b/c Zendaya is hot at the moment, but this movie wasn't great.
I liked the film a lot.
The movie is based on a true story.
I saw it. I thought it was okay. Just okay. Alot of folks were expecting a straight up civil war movie, but it was more so a movie about reporting and journalism. It was sort of slow moving and somehow uneventful, but it was worth one watch with low expectations.
I figured that was gonna happen. But was that who I thought was behind him in the end?
i hated the movie
I didn't like Godzilla v. Kong. I felt it was overly long and convoluted. Not good. I just do not have the interest in Godzilla x King. Maybe I will catch it on streaming. There has been just to many of these films in my opinion.
This seems intriguing. Maybe I will give it a see one day.
The singing part was supposed to just be lip synching. In the drag community when they perform on stage a lot of the time it’s just lip synching. But I can see how that would throw you off haha. Also so glad you enjoyed this movie!
Lol so glad you acknowledged Jarvier Bardem's character was a little goofy haha I think he was supposed to be a fanatic who worships TC's character to an extreme level Also I know Dune 1 and 2 are based on the first book. And the 3rd movie will be based on the second book. The first book is like 700 pages and the rest of the books are much shorter haha Great review as always boss man!
As a fan it pains me to say this but I have to be honest - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a bad movie. The film is total a mess. It's an overstuffed, poorly paced, confusing, convoluted movie with an unnecessarily complicated plot. There are far too many characters, some of which have been needlessly shoehorned into the story. Many if the characters are also very bland, with very little personality, charisma, likability, humor or chemistry. It's overstuffed with unnecessary dialogue, dull subplots, pointless characters and scenes which go on for far too long. It's not funny either. I didn't laugh once during the movie, and neither did the audience I was watching it with. It's not frightening either. There are no scares in the film. Laughs and scares are two things you expect from a Ghostbusters film, but this latest entry in the series is completely devoid of any. Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan may be talented directors, but they're the wrong people to be writing Ghostbusters films. Afterlife was mediocre at best, but Frozen Empire is just plain bad. With a heavy heart, I rate this film 3 out of 10. I feel a lot of fans are in denial about just how bad this film is.
I actually saw this in cinema. It was okay. Just okay. Okay to see at home, but not amazing. There wasn't much ghost busting in this movie and the climax was pretty rushed. The fire God aspect was cool and it was good to see the original Ghostbusters together, but those actors were just in it for a paycheck. This is a far cry from the original Ghostbusters, but this is okay to watch at home. If you paid full price for streaming around 20 bucks or whatever have you, it is certainly not worth that price. Just okay.
Totally agree - not worth the $20. The thing I liked most was the connection of the old and the new. But we needed more Dr. Spangler!
@@KimmelsIrishPub12 I saw it in cinema with the AMC pass. It was okay, but as out of the box and generic as it gets. I literally forgot what I saw after I left the movie house b/c there wasn't all that much to it at all.
Had a day off today, watched this movie a few hours ago and thought it was weak. I was expecting more from Caville and Guy Ritchie. Henry was wasted in this movie, Man from UNCLE was better movie than this and it was also starring Henry and directed by Ritchie.
I agree Man from UNCLE was better and it also has Alicia Vikander in it.
what was up with the driver's license at the end of the film? Does that mean he's going to become entangled with the police and all the murders? Thanks for the review!!
I think so - I think that is going to get him busted.
The first thing I noticed was your shirt and it does look nice. For me a movie like this is way to much and just goes into topics that I do not particularly like seeing on screen. I just do not like seeing movies about people passing.
Your thoughts seemed sort of all over the place on this one. Seems very mid for you.
I am glad you noticed. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't and you know me I have a tough time being overly critical hahahahaha
Lesbian hulk movie lol... very compelling stuff either than the odd ball ending haha Always check out St. Maude for another bizarro experience from the same director
Also the Katy O Brian girl was battling undiagnosed chron's disease all while she was getting jacked for this movie... truly one of the most versatile actresses in the game! Usually actress stories don't really resonate with me but that was hard core. Appreciate your laid back one take style reviews dude. Your style harkens back to the old more authentic days of youtube. Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback - I appreciate it. I am adding St. Maude to my list!
It’s not by the same director of killing of a sacred deer
That’s Yorgos Lanthimos
Yes you are correct. Barry Keoghan was in it - I guess I heard that and thought it was the same director. I probably should have verified that before I said it.
@@KimmelsIrishPub12 it’s all good haha I can see where the confusion came from since Barry was in both
Belfast in Northern Ireland, where the bomb explodes ....but Liam Neeson character is set in a village in Donegal a county in the Northern part of the Republic of Ireland
Awesome - thank you for the clarification
I had no idea what this movie was about but I sure enjoyed it 👍🏼
I would love to see a review from you on the movie Dogman that came out in 2023! Such a weird movie but I kinda loved it
Yes that has Caleb Landry Jone in it. I have it on my list to watch. I didn't know it came out in '23. I will watch very soon and reply with a link to my review.
@@KimmelsIrishPub12 awesome!

I actually saw it and sort of liked it. However, like you said they banked a little to much on audiences liking The Jesters. You are correct that the odd explanation of what or who The Jester even is did not make sense. Yes, the dad was a jerk, but not super evil. If there was a The Jester for all the deadbeat parents out there the world would be full of them. Somehow I think I brought into it more than you and gave it a marginally position review. The directing and cinematography were actually good.
Church has been in some many great movies, especially Sideways. I love Church. This seems like a good one. Maybe I will give it a see.
I too love Church
Oscar seems to pop up often and that is great. This movie seems good. Maybe I will give it a try.
Good but maybe could have been better.
I saw this recently. Cage was good in it, but at the end of the day it felt like a popr man's Signs. At the end of the day it was actually worth a see, but sure, just wait for it to be free on streaming. Spoilers - I didn't like the creative decision of the seemingly more mature son to wish to stay in the other farmhouse. He stayed b/c he liked the girl I guess, but that seems like an odd decision even for someone that age. Even if I was a teenager and liked some random girl, I would stay to assist my ill father.
Spoiler - I think he stayed to get the medicine not the girl. I thought that at first also.
@@KimmelsIrishPub12 When thinking back you are correct.
Lol glad you called out the forced sacrifice... And the harsher than necessary punishment lol The only thing that made this stand out for me was the creature design with the flapping duck beak lol I actually read the creator of the movie designed the monsters to look like goofy from disney that scared him as a kid haha Anyways enjoy your laid back reviews my friend and keep em' rollin
Thank you I appreciate it. Thank you for sharing the Goofy insight. That is very interesting.
Awesome review man.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
I LOVE this movie!🎃 New subscriber!😀

Dastmalchian is pronounced "da-small-chin". It's okay, EVERYBODY gets it wrong the first time. He was also in The Suicide Squad as Polka Dot Man. Although this is ultimately an imperfect film, I find it incredibly entertaining and rewatchable. The whole cast nails it. And yeah, hypnosis is scary, mass hypnosis is possible, but not at that level. Fortunately, I'm not susceptible to it. Some people just aren't, so I don't think anyone could pull off something like that successfully. There will always be enough people that are immune to it. But I REALLY don't like the idea of someone manipulating my mind like that. It's truly a horrifying idea to me.
Oh that's right - he was in The Suicide Squad - good call! Yes hypnosis is scary - not something to mess around with.
I will see this on streaming. Seems like a pretty decent film. So many films about dogs and most are tear jerkers. Are you an emotional type of guy in respect to film? I would say yes.
Yeah wait for this on streaming - but a good film
Not the best horror movie I’ve seen but it’s original and 100% worth the watch
The original is 100% worth the watch? I haven't seen it.
I didn’t mind part 1 but part 2 went downhill fast. Action could be cool but I didn’t care about anything that was happening. With 4hrs of screen time Snyder still failed to get me attached to these characters. I was just bored. I’m done with this franchise now. Great review!
Will you watch the Snyder Cut? That will probably give us the character development we want.
Awesome review man, looking forward to seeing this film.
I hear there are a lot more coming as well
You idea about a recap on Netflix or whatever streaming service is sound advice. I would never leave Kimmel's Irish Pub for some random RUclipsr.
the drug distributors were using the dogs to get the wholesale product from China to sweat down
I didn't know that. Interesting.
I watched this in the cinema. It was for sure an above average horror movie. I didn't even initially watch the trailer. My only critique was I felt the ending was a little abrupt. However I understand the ending and what it all meant, but it wrapped up very fast. Great movie. David has been in a millon movies. Yes, he was perfectly cast. There is something special about him. These are hardcore horror movies. If you like David, watch a movie called Teacher (2019). You have to watch something light as a feather. You been seeing alot of heavy ones lately.
I have added Teacher to my list!
@@KimmelsIrishPub12 I cannot wait to hear your review
It seems like there is something more to Sweet Dream a la heart. Buddy Games it is not. It reminds me of Kimmel's Irish Pub. There is something more and laudable to it if you look deeper. Lol.
Yeah surprisingly this was a deeper than say Buddy Games.
I just don't know if this is my cup of tea. Maybe skip it for me.
I actually saw it. Our good friend Sydney was in it, but actually I liked her in this role. It was a good movie. Everyone made such a big deal about the last 5 or 10 minutes. To me it wasn't a big deal. Spoiler - It was so nebulous what exactly the baby was and there were so many 'hands in the soup' I say that I would have destroyed the baby as well. In the end I actually like this one pretty good. I probably wouldn't watch it again in awhile, but I liked it okay.
Definitely original and nonconventional for sure.
Sounds like a good movie, kind of reminds me of the south korean movie Memoirs of Murder though the protagonist in that was a serial killer not a hitman.
That sounds interesting - when did that come out?
@@KimmelsIrishPub12 2017 ,It's actually called "Memoir of a Murderer". Last time I checked it was on tubi.
This was my personal favorite movie of last year. I loved it! Emma Stone was incredible
I think a lot of people really enjoyed this movie
I am a Michael and and clearly Al is amazing. I do not think I would rent this out, but I would watch it free on streaming. This looked good to me.
I think it is worth renting.
IDK this just doesn't seem like it is for me exactly. I don't see myself giving it a try. Skip it. I do not connected with coming of age movies as much as I did many years ago b/c I am a little older now.
I still enjoy these types of movies, but this one I felt was misleading. I was expecting something different.
Yeah this is one of those sci-fi films that will we probably happen in the future unfortunately.
Good point
Wow sounds like a tense movie.
It was pretty intense.
