    Four years later, and this remains the only video available for installing the FF4. The written instructions from CDI are a disaster. Thank you for making this video! Furler is now installed and working great!

    Thank you for this video. I just replaced the halyard on my FF4 that I installed in 1994. That style had a plastic traveler. I was having a hard time conceptualizing how the new one with the ferrule was supposed to work. Your video was a lifesaver. Like you I also had a problem with the sealed end of the halyard being a glob of plastic that was too big to fit through the the Top Fitting. I didn't chew on it but I tried squishing it with pliers with no success. In the end I had to cut the glob off and re-seal it properly with a hot knife, shaping the edge so it tapered inward, not outward. Once that was done it was thin enough to get up through the hole but not enough to get over the sheave. I just kept jamming it upward into the hole with a screwdriver until the line finally stuck out just enough over the sheave to grab it with pliers and pull it through. Whew!

    Who gets back on a bike after a crash with no gloves? I don't understand.

  • @retiredarmyvet2018
    @retiredarmyvet2018 Год назад

    So let me see if I can get this right. You bought a used bike and the owner told you it had brake problems. You take it to the shop and they say they looked at them and made adjustments. You take the bike out and notice the rear brake it LOCKING UP and you continue to ride it. Then on the day of the accident you put your wife on it with you and it locks up again and you CONTINUED to ride it. Either you have a huge life insurance policy out on her or you don't like her that much. Never and I mean NEVER get on a bike that has braking issues. And now after a get off that resulted in a pretty serious injury you are running around with no gloves on. Also, you don't have to slam the throttle closed when shifting. The squid is strong with this one.

  • @garymaclean6903
    @garymaclean6903 Год назад

    Crashing is rarely 'just timing'. What was wrong with the rear brake? How does a hydraulic disk brake lock-up, and stay locked up? The front brake should be doing most of the braking anyway in a panic stop. Hope your healing goes well. Maybe your wife could buy you some gloves for Christmas to protect your hands...???

    • @KeithSchrecengost
      @KeithSchrecengost 11 месяцев назад

      Thanks! I'm almost back to full on. Not sure about the brakes. I was assured by the shop they were right. But my friend who picked it up said they were locked. I can say that they were definitely locked while my leg was broken and I could not continue to engage them. So there is that evidence.

    I wasn’t on the water, so don’t know what was said between 777 and 33, but know the rules state a boat must be given time to keep clear. If I were 33, I would have taken my turns but protested and filed for redress, as I don’t see a universe in which 777 allowed 33 time to keep clear.

    I think that’s nuts of you for using a power drill/driver to screw in those screws to secure the speakers onto the brackets.For myself and many others out there, the stakes are too high(risk of slipping and damaging speaker) for such a low payout (job done a smidge faster). To each their own. Thanks for sharing, regardless. Aloha

    • @gokblok
      @gokblok 2 года назад

      You actually have more axial control over a screw gun than you do a screwdriver, because you don't have to apply as much torque with your actual hand. Variable speed triggers make an electric screw gun or drill the safest choice, while maybe still using a handscrewdriver to verify final torque.

    • @6980869
      @6980869 2 года назад

      True, and at the same time, things can spin outta control a lot easier and quicker with a drill. Case in point - 33:15. Ive never done that with a hand powered screwdriver, but have poked a hole in the surround using a drill/driver. Maybe that’s just me being traumatized, idk.
