Saprolgenia Under a Microscope
Просмотров 8955 лет назад
My betta recently had a fungal infection (Saprolegnia). The spore fell off and I stuck it under my microscope. I don’t know if any of these organisms are the actual bad guys, or just always present in freshwater. Either way, it’s super cool. Treatment = Seachem Polyguard.

POND UPDATE: Plants, Bacteria, and Other Stuff :')

Pond has changed a bit. Ill say this on every video but my pond is still not finished, I don't think it will ever be. Today, it seems empty to me. I would like more plants but my main focus now is getting my nitrates back under control with media. I am ALWAYS up for chatting about my goldfish and fish in general! Hey! This is a little video I made to answer commonly asked questions about my indoor pond. This pond still isn't where I want it to be, but maybe it can help you get some ideas. 0:10 - The tub and how I got it 0:51 - Filtration including aquaponics and other plants 6:05 - Lighting 7:16 - The middle tank within the pond 9:00 - The fish I keep 10:23 - The plants I keep inside the pond 11:38 - Hu...
Wow . That looks like it would do damage after a while. I have to get a microscope for my guys
Try some duckweed it does grow like crazy but goldfish love it . I was told that goldfish and koi need it for cover and food and filtering and cheap and easy. I'm about to put it in mine.
Nice set up. Goldfish and koi are the dirtiest fish so you are perfect for all the filters.
Very nice
Why no turtles????
Not me with my tiny solar powered pump that only works when it’s sunny 😅
Cool large indoor pond!
What is the tank reading on to protect the floor?
Amazing indoor pond, I'd just suggest removing some of the filtration as over filtering is most deffinetly a thing. Could also be causing your nitrate issues.
Hello Bailey. Can I ask how high nitrates get for you after a week with having so many plants and goldfish? And how often do you have to change water? Do the plants help with nitrates a lot?
I’m personally into monster fish but I love this 😭😂 nice work
Great goldfish pond, to help control your nitrates you might want to have one of your filters flow through the flower box with the lava rock. Lava rock can be a good nitrate (anaerobic) filter as well as aerobic filter.
I love your huge Calico Oranda. How big is it?
Love this video where did you get you fish??
I need help. I got a 100 gallon stock tank for my 5 goldfish. Fancies. This is in my living room as an indoor pond. But i need to figure out a heater for a stock tank that is safe for the fish. There is a warning in the stock tank about using a cage heater so I assume this means I can’t just dump an aquarium heater that may rub up against the stock tank. We are having a cold winter and I heat the house to 68-70 but the water has dropped down to 65. Maybe because it’s by a cold window. This won’t be an issue in spring but what can I do in the meantime
How is she keeping that long planter up ?? I wanna try it but idk how
The indoor pond looks amazing, but I have noticed there is not much surface agitation? It could do with a pond pump sprinkler or a waterfall to create more oxygen.
The pond guru recommends double filtration for goldfish. I have double filtration on my 400 litre tank, for two goldfish.
Please make a update I always come back to your channel cause I love it
It's probably not a good idea to put a glass tank on top of a glass tank!
just wondering if the tank is still sitting on top of the other tank with water in it or if it ever failed ? I want to put a 15-25 gallon watter brige and set it on top of the ends of two 180g acrylic tank and im worried about the stress
THAT FX6 IS ALL YOU NEED !! PLENTY ENOUGH FOR A INDOOR POND... OVER KILL FOR 50 FISH LOL
Sunsun is your canister brand
The filter in your pond that you call pointless. Shrink the plumbing under the water. Turn it on. It needs to have water running through the filters and light. Just having the light on does nothing. Much respect.
Water circulation is key also :)
soooooo refreshing to see someone who understands a goldfishs needs!! they should never be in aquariums, absolutley stunning indoor pond, love it and so jealous lol
Never??!! Wtf
I have my Butterfly Koi in my room. I actually had to tear apart my closet to fit a 110 gallon acrylic tank for her. I'm very protective of SHADOW 💋 she was the smallest (4.5 inch) from nose to tail, of the koi I received last Summer and the only one to survive out of 16. It's just an ongoing process getting bigger tanks. 💜
I can't believe its been over 3 years
My first filter fetish girl……anyway it all looks good….thank you…
Awesome setup. Did you ever cut off all of the filtration and just use the plants? This is cool stuff
Your fish jump out?
Hi love your pond I made a temporary pond for my koi Animal lovers are welcome
This is so dope!
Omg it's exactly howI wanted for my goldies. How big is your pond in litres? What would be approximate cost for tat tub?
I wish i could make this for my shubunkin and add 2 comets
Your goldfish are beautiful!
Just curious where you got your fish from? I’m looking for some of my own but the only ones I can find are either really expensive or from Petsmart.
That pond is absolutely stunning!
The black and orange one looks absolutely gorgeous
Your 300 Gallon was doing so well, why did you get rid of it?
Sooooo cute everyone~
Big no to fancies
How much tank
I love all your fish! Your black fish is beautiful
Damn, I stuff 8 12" koi into my 300 gallon stock tank with a crazy big homemade biofilther. They live for 2 years and still living, very healthy. Building a bigger pond soon.
Omg way over filtered take them all off but one sponge and biggest canister and put some wood and more plants in and ur good
A pond with goldfish needs to be over filtered. Your pond is way to over filtered. If the pond or tank is way over filtered not just a little over filtered in the long run your tank or pond could crash due to not enough crap to feed the bio bacteria, especially if you have plants.. This can cause the pond or tank to go cloudy due to a bacteria die off. This will throw the ballance off any you may get an ammonia spike and it can kill the fish. 2 canister filters is all you should use. Unless the tank or pond is outside in the sun or inside with very bright light a u.v. sterilizer is not needed and will kill any free flowing beneficial bacteria. If when using a u.v. sterilizer you have algae growth the u.v. sterilizer is not big enough or just not working. If you have enough plants it will eat the nutrients that the algae would need to grow. If you have to much filtration with bio media it is taking away from the nutrients the plants need and in the long run the plants will grow super slow or die. I have a 1000 gallon turtle and goldfish pond outside and it has less filtration than your 300 gallon pond.
Plz start posting......plz.....i just love ur fishes
Hi I'm really hoping we get an update soon.. also just wondering why the change to the 150 tub vs the 300 gallon?...was is hard to maintain, like doing water changes?
How much would a setup like this cost from start to finish ?
Holy crap so many filters
