Shure it is a beautiful rifle
Great video!!! Do more on the 1887. You actually know your stuff. AWESOME MY FRIEND.
I have a very hard time loading my .357 RM 1894. In another video you mentioned snipping a little off the mag tube spring. Can you tell me how much you snipped off? It's all I can do to get up to 4 rounds into the darn gun !!
I want to buy one and a ton of cheap birdshot and try some of the cool cowboy action stuff I've seen online
Bravo for Ruger. A big thanks for keeping the Marlin brand alive.
I feel that this rig would be good for house/home defences. Does it come in 20ga. ?
I just got one the ruger 1894s , in 357 very nice I have over the years owened at lest 6 of the JM Marlins, and its as good or better than any them
Rifle muito bom
I love your video. I have this gun layaway. My question is does it have a half cock safety?
Thanks for showing these and for the shooting tips. Great stuff
I just came across this after seeing the gun for sale. I didn't realize China guns were being imported again. This is made in China right? I used to have china made guns way back before clinton.
I'm sorry but those grips are fugly.
I'm not a fan of the shorter rifles. Have to get a 20 inch if it's a lever action. That's just me though a lot of ppl like the carbines.
Glad to hear the PRC can now do what John Browning did 137 years ago successfully.
Cool. Love your shop. Years ago I had a Model 36 with their secret service grips. They were an absolute game changer.
My dream shotgun....
Is it reasonable to shoot slugs in something like this? Idk if that's a silly question.
Great video Bud. Just wondering where is this shotgun made ? surely not the USA for that price ? Otherwise great review

Maybe you should have cleaned and oiled it.
whats the air pressure have to be set at to shoot that rifle
Why the hell did they make it only hold 9 rounds?
This 1887 works pretty smooth
Also, please always post a link to whatever you are reviewing
How are u shooting so fast, without fanning ?
Looks like he is slip hammering.
Those reloads were friggin cool
Funny china making guns for us
im getting one now, is there any videos on taking these apart to clean???
Hey Steven, I watched your range video on this Rifle. I am curious who made the lever wrap you have on it and the parts you said you swapped out? Would you be able to list those for me? Thank you
Hi. What spring kit did you use to tune the 1894c in the subsequent video? Looking to do the same. Thanks
Thank you for this video! This will probably be my first firearm and I personally have always been obsessed with this shotgun.
I think Ruger hit a home run with Marlin lever actions.
I have a Marlin original in pristine condition that I purchased in the early 1990’s for around $350. I love it.
As far as I'm conserned only a Marlin built before December 2007 is a real Marlin!
As far as I'm concerned only a Marlin made before 1915 when the Marlin family sold out is a real Marlin!
Looks good , I like the army grip on the SAA so I’m guessing I’d like this
Yes very similar feel to the 1860 frame!
Good review Duece...
Talo exclusive 1894 in .41 mag
Was he using 2.5” or 2.75” shells? Any idea?
I bought one of these and sold it the next week. In high anticipation for it, I hand cast/loaded several combinations of .38/.357 plus while at the store, I picked up a couple boxes of .38 just to shoot so I could build up my .38 brass pile. What a huge disappointment this rifle is...I might as well have bought a bolt action or single shot in .38. Chambering .38's was a joke let alone trying to cycle one round after another, did not matter the bullet profile. After fussing and fighting with it, I was finally able to get some rounds down range...I threw them.
My new one in .44 was same. Had to get a skinner after market sight to get point if aim. Rounds hung up in cartridge carrier half way out of magazine.
Mine showed up and the Allen key for the spur extension came out of the package and gouged the hell out of the butt stock….called marlin and they send a new one no problem. Fast forward a week and I handed it to my friend and first thing he noticed was forearm was cracked right at the barrel band, due to poor QC on assembly. Fit and finish is maybe worse (certainly equal) to the Remington made marlin’s…please note the Remington made versions were 1/2 the cost. I think ruger banked on the hype and basically released the Remington quality manufacturing knowing the hype was to see some fantastically better manufacturing. Serious disappointment to read the story of feeding issues. I was going to sell my jj 44 mag but know I reckon I better keep it and sell the ruger made .357….start searching for a clean Jm in other calibers! #ruger #rugerfirearms #rugermarlin you should be ashamed to put this garbage on the showroom floor! Seriously poor form!
Ive had mine for maybe a week now and its given me no issues. I knew id have to really work the lever to have it feed and eject but the first couple shells i didnt have my technique down yet. Now I am running this thing empty in no time. The quality is very good. The only thing i did notice was the two screws on the sides of the receiver wanted to loosen so I removed them and put on blue loctite. Money well spent and now I have a odd yet functional gun.
Is it made by chiappa?
Can 38 spec be fired thru the rifle
Yes, It can take up to ten rounds of 38 special. A very nice rifle!
I just picked one up $580 out the door. I have been searching for one for about a year. The ink wasn't dry on the price tag, it didn't get to hang on the wall at the gun store. He walked out the back with it and I immediately jumped on it.
I like that the receiver isn't covered in Warnings and Manufacturers nonsense!
How much is it for one of those conversions for that gun?
Can you load 2 1/2?
Terminator II. Have one, love it. Cimarron makes classics like this accessible to the average Joe and Jill.
But does it shoot mini-shells? ;-)
Great review but I am a little confused. I have had one of these shotguns from Cimarron for around or a little over a year now, Why does everyone keep saying they are a new release?
Is yours the case-hardened receiver model, vs. the matte-finish one?
I’m waiting to find a 336 classic in 3030 before I die because it’s taking forever to see them on the shelf in any local stores
Order one online for a transfer to your favorite shop. You'll probably save like $500.
I have one in 38-55 cowboy model in 336 with 24” octagon barrel for sale
