Grateful for these webinars and continuing to raise awareness about POTS. My doctors and I have all agreed that my dysautonomia developed as a result of repeated traumas, which is still a controversial stance in the chronic illness community. I wish there was some more research in that area.

Many of top autonomic specialist agree physical or psychological trauma can be a triggering event. Could have another underlying cause sfn, autoimmune/autoinflammatory, mcas etc. But the triggering event can definitely be trauma

I’ve been a ResearchMatch volunteer since 2015, after being diagnosed with autoimmune disorders and I’ve participated in numerous studies. But I still don’t know why we are asked to fill an extensive profile if many of the requests don’t match our profile at all and deem us uneligible to participate. I do not have children under 18, I am not part of the LGTBQ+ or autistic spectrum communities nor have a child in them, I do not hold a job or am in a managerial position, I am not a caregiver, I am not in a relationship, etc., but I’ve received numerous requests to participate in studies involving any one of those subjects when none of that is indicated in my profile. I guess someone without my health issues is receiving the requests that I’m not getting…. Have you considered this when revamping the site recently? (It’s Jul. 28, 2022).

People are not being informed in many cases. Rather, an individual's siblings can be coerced into enrolling people into what are termed surveillance programs, but which are essentially psychological warfare/neutralization campaigns with politically motivated outcomes. In most cases, victims are never informed. It may take years for them to uncover documentation related to human experimentation, legalized counter intelligence programs and military involvement in domestic psychological warfare. Informed consent has become quite a misnomer. Some of the worst offenders appear to be the Department of Energy and of course branches of the U.S. military, who have always had such an interest in behavior modification and brain mapping/entrainment technology. Behind all of the legalese and institutional sophistry is simply the new face of torture and politically motivated assassination. The delusion that governments, Armies and the covert community have lost interest in suppressing dissent and controlling populations seems sadly equal to the institutional increase in these social control mechanisms.
