Learn how to felt soap! This video was made for the Redding Method Facebook Groups, Teach it Tuesday Tutorials. I am very honored to share my craft with you!
Ciao il sapone non va lavorato con l ago per infeltrire?
Ciao quanto tempo ci vuole per fare la saponetta
Hello there, thanks for lesson. Question,u said u do batch felting. How do you do it, could you please show?. Thank you
Love chrochet
you're so helpful a great teacher thankyou from new zealand I will get the supplies to try one 🤩🤩
Does the wool not come out from the fabric?
Nope! Once you felt it in there it's in there pretty good. In the beginning stages you can correct your work and pull out wool that you just tacked down - which is great when you are learning. But it takes a bit of force to pull out the wool once you are finished. It's a wall hanging so the wool won't just fall out while it's hanging there. <3
Just got this for Christmas. Looking forward to trying it !
If you collect all the small soaps that have been used, do you do something with the little felt bits left ?
This video was very informative. Thank you for the information and showing us your beautiful art. We
felted
Your soaps are really neat! Thank you for sharing.
Can I do this with my 1sts or 2nds that have not gone to the mill?
Hi Annette! I think you could depending on the fiber of course. It might take a little more time to lay it out but it should work for you!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Thank you so much for sharing your talent, so very informative ❤ I really want to try this. I'm looking on Amazon for supplies 👍
What I really loved about this tutorial is that you made it all so simple, not complicated. You are a natural teacher! So often other teachers are too "you-will-never-be-as-good-as-me" but you!.... You made me feel like I was there with you enjoying the experience and feeling like this was really something I could do too with confidence and contentment! Thank you SO much for sharing this with us.... best wishes from a fan in Ireland
Where did you get the wool
Love your craft, thank you for sharing. One question please, if the soap had been coloured with mica will the colour come through the wool, that is, if the soap has browns, greens ... do colours, should the wool colour chosen be dark base?
Какая изящная штучка!!! Очень красивая работа!!!
pls improve Voice of video
wow
Do you make your own soap? Or where can you get round soap? Great job on this tutorial!
Seems too labor intensive to be cost effective if you are in the business of selling the soap. What do they sell for?
I've seen them for 8 to 15. Cdn. Depending if it had a needle felted design.
I'm from Canada and it's $8 without felt and $18 with felt
Amazing info! Thank you!
Love the washboard method. I need one now! Awesome tutorial. New soapy sub 😍Jen
🗣
Great tutorial. What type of soap is best to use? If you make your own soap do you make a hard bar, do some oils go mushy, and shroud you let it cure fully before felting? I’d love to try this but want to make the right ‘type’ of soap for it 😀
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for explaining all the different process and reasoning why things are done a certain way. 💕
Very informative and thorough.....all the questions I had in my mind were brought up through out this tutorial. Thank you for your patience and guidance.
Very good video ..I use the different shapes. I like how you draft the roving? Thank You .
Lori Seaton thank you, I appreciate that very much! Happy felting!
Too slow of a teacher.
I find it's helpful to be thorough for beginners :)
Sara Setzer I found your tutorial very informative and I like the way you explained everything! And I have just successfully felted my first soap. Thank you 🙏
You are a great teacher! Ty for this video! Your speed as a teacher is just perfect!
Why do you use nylons and can you use cling wrap instead?
I use nylons because they are reusable and I like how they hold the soap and wool together tightly in the beginning. You can also use tulle. I have never tried cling wrap, I would imagine i would be difficult and sticky, probably more hassle than it's worth.
Hope long does it take them to dry usually?
Not very long, a couple hours maybe.
Also where do you buy the felt from?
Try Outback Fibers or NunoFelting.com, both great sources!
Wow i love this! Do you sell them? Can you do a video doing the patterns on the soap?
I do! I sell them on my website at www.sarasetzerfeltworks.com. I have more videos in the works, I'll see what I can come up with :)
If we don't have nylons can we just use a regular sock?
Hi! You could try, I think it would work! It might be a little thick and take a little longer when your rubbing it, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! You can also use tulle if you have that available, too.
Pretty lady.
