WLToys 144001 Battery Strap FIXED!!
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 года назад
So the WLToys144001 does allow for a larger battery (up to 4 inches) but the provided velcro strap isn’t long enough. In this video, I demonstrate a solution (that involves scissors) to use the original battery strap to secure a 4 inch battery pack.

    Man your reaction reminded me of when I first upgraded! I had rocked the G923 for about 3 years and it served me well on Iracing, AC and Beamng but boy oh boy, upgrading to the Pro wheel brought so much more out of the cars. I felt like with the 923 you have to learn more of the mechanics than wrestling the car, the wheel is pretty light at 2nm and the brake is very light. With the Pro wheel you actually feel the car and its grip levels, braking is easier as well with the stiffer pedal. The Trueforce is amazing and so much more pronounced in the Pro vs the 923. If you have never felt what the Trueforce delivers you're missing out guys. I've had the Pro wheel now for almost a year and I still love it. It amazes me every time I use it. Logitech has released a 3rd party wheel adapter, new wheel designs and a shifter so you could have a wheel to match what you're driving for even more immersion.

    I'm using the G923 and playing GT7 exclusively, though I occasionally play Snowrunner on PC. I'm worried about whether I'll finish the campaign and suddenly feel there's no reason to continue playing Gran Turismo 7. I'm not sure if I should spend $1,300 (including delivery and customs fees to my country) on this setup. I mean, I can, but what if...? Do you guys play it event if you completed campaign and already collected all cars?

    • @alanwu1490
      @alanwu1490 Месяц назад

      Great question and very valid concern. The only reason why I upgraded my G923 and driving cockpit is to increase the immersion. I'd say depending on your financial situation, only upgrade if you want to feel the road and the car more. And if you have a feeling that you may not want to play GT 7 after finishing the campaign, I'd recommend sticking with your G923. Cheers!

      I think the main reason to play GT7 is the online daily races? I found the campaign boring and only really wanted to unlock the sport mode so I could compete in online races against the community. It's highly competitive, but so good.

    Hi Alan I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying your new wheel! I’m hoping to get one myself sometime next year, I’m currently using a G920. Are you on a PS5? I noticed you’re using a curved monitor-how does it compare to a flat one? Have you adjusted your FOV, and what effect does the curved monitor have on it? Sorry to bother you with all these questions, but I haven’t been able to find much information about using a curved monitor with a console. All the best

    • @alanwu1490
      @alanwu1490 Месяц назад

      Great question!! I played for years on a PS5 but recently built a PC just for sim driving and the difference is insane. I don't think I can go back. To answer your question on flat screen vs curved screen, I think it does come down to personal choice and what you're trying to accomplish. If you're going for immersion, the curved screen will be superior because you'll "feel" more like you're in the car compared to the flat screen. There are people that have triple curved monitors for the ultimate immersion! Lol And for the FOV, I did mess with it. I try to line up the dash to the edge of my steering wheel. I literally sat in my real car, took a photo of what my view looked like and tried to recreate that in the game. One bummer is that my screen isn't very wide so I can't see too far left & right of the windshield.

  • @walshja81

    I've been using my G29 for 3yrs now. I've added bass shakers and wind. I've also been using a PSVR2 for almost 2yrs and I can't play on flat screen at all. Even if I'm grinding for money I'll just sit on the couch with a controller or use my Portal. If I'm in my rig then it's always VR. With that said I finally purchased the G Pro Wheel and Pedals. My wife begged me to throw them under the Christmas tree and make me wait since I have nothing else to open. I can't wait to try it out!

Feed the strap through one end. The "buckle" will stop it from moving through the end bracket. Then just as you've done run it across the top and through the other bracket and secure it over the top.

    Yesss! Thank you, such a simple solution that I couldn't come up with. i was getting by with the strap going the other way looped around the plastic support next to the servo. Yours is way better. good job
