I Love this video. Thank you for such a detailed analysis. A few key elements missing in this are w 1. this is with fully loaded dishwasher (many people don't max out or sometime overstuff their dishwasher), 2. not prewashing any dishes for the dishwasher (some people also prewash particularly gnarly dishes), and 3. dishwashers which failed to clean every little bit. ***Now let's put in the added impact of production of dishwasher (from mining materials, shipping, manufacturing, shipping again and distribution), extra repairs, usable space (larger kitchen), and disposal of a dishwasher. Considering the average lifespan of a dishwasher is about 10 years we can start to see another angle on what it takes to truly think and be green. As a collective we should be taking this across the board when we are considering being a consumer for more things to making our life a little "easier" or more "green." Such as the new electric car. Reuse may be a greatly overlooked asset when it truly comes to going green.

I think the duel sink method is gross because you end up with soapy dishes after a while and you have to change out the water so I still think you waste a lot of water. The way I used to use the duel sink method was to have one sink with soapy water and the other sink empty and rinse those with some running water

Don't believe it we got solar panels 5yrs ago and they told us $30,000 we pay half and the government pays for half, well they paid $7,500 and that's all they will pay!!!!🤬

Obvious washing by hand uses less energy. It's also possible to wash lightly soiled plates with cold water, so one doesn't need to pay to heat it. Dishwashers also wreck everything that's put into them over time. There was an installed dishwasher in the kitchen of my house when I moved in. I've never used it.

I went to someone to prepare my taxes and she said the cruder I will receive is my own money. The money I paid in taxes. Is this true? Because if so this whole tax credit is false.

@billdeason6212 0 seconds ago I geo scammed like this, my solar panels did not eliminate my electricity bill and my gov rebate was quoted at $ 29,000 and when my taxes were done I was quoted a rebate of $17,000. the raven company said the new roof could be added to the rebate it cant. I need to pay this 17,000 and another 13,000 or my payment goes to $445 a month. My Tax man said the cost of a nerw roof cannot be applied to the rebate. I have asked for a detail of the costs and this hasnt been provided.

Very informative. I originally installed my solar system in 2015 and was able to take a full tax credit in the same year. In 2023, I added a few more panels and a battery backup system. It was $25588 and 30% is $7676. TurboTax is only giving me $1495 in 2023 and is amortizing the credit over 5 years. I am asking TurboTax community about this. Do you know if this is correct and is this new in 2023? My friend installed in 2022 and was able to get a full credit in the same year. BTW, I planned my taxes around the tax credit and because of only getting $1495, I currently owe over $6100 back to the fed, so it's not a case where I am expecting money back; I need it to cover the taxes I owe.

can you please clarify 30 percent federal solar tax credit if its on the total value of net installation cost or minus Renewable Energy Credit ? For example if the installation cost without any incentive is 30 k and then you get energy credit 15K ... is 30 percent calculated on 30 k or 15k for federal tax credit ?

I have a large electrolizer. Also my Kangen machine makes HOCL. Force of Nature is just a brand name and they make $$ of their refills. I need it on a larger scale as I use it in laundry and my dogs dishes and in my vacuum mops. No need to worry about making bleach that’s silly

i rinse off first in shower then i turn bath on and wash then while bath is draining i turn shower back on to rerinse take longer but i look forward to everytime

Deeply flawed. If one thinks economics, markets, jobs, corporations, etc., can be made sustainable one doesn't understand sustainability at all. Simplistic thinking siloes everything, as in this video. Water? What about the building? What about the bottling? What about the transport? Etc.? Sustainability is SYSTEMIC. You cannot silo any part of any system. We still see many unsustainable things today? Virtually everything produced in the modern economy is unsustainable. Gogreenpost? We seriously need to talk.

I just filed mine and got the full 30% ITC I expected and a little more - YEA. Retired with limited tax liability, I took a large disbursement from our IRA and had 30% in taxes withheld. So I made a LARGE downpayment and now will get the full $16K from the ITC. Will pay off my system when I receive the IL Shines SREC check.

I learned that you will only get back taxes you back in taxes. This is where it’s bs . You will not get back anymore than you paid. But it is prorated for the next couple years, until you get the full tax credit of 30%

My modern dishwasher from Miele only uses 10 liters of water. That’s 2,64 gallons. Also, a machine uses a stronger detergent and water that’s way more hot. My machine even has a sterilizing setting that’s heats the water up for a short amount of time to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is it an American thing where you just run the tap constantly?! Just put the plug in, fill the sink with few litres and then wash the dishes and dry on a dryer!!
