Wind direction will be important for this set up. That should be pointed out. And when setting up in a wind, the upwind peg should probably be the first peg driven. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
Great shout mate. 👍
It's been called the Plow Point for decades because it's in that configuration.
Good stuff, Dan. Big hug!
Fantastic setup👍👋🇵🇱
Greetings from Oregon U.S.A! Rains almost all winter here, I need to find a good tarp..
Thank you for this video. Great setup!

Thank you! Cheers!
Nice tip, thanks Dan!
That's SO cool
Doesn't try to sell you something. Doesn't give you any weird fake story. Doesn't talk out his arse. Just straight to it, no yapping. THAT'S my kinda shorts.
Thank you
Yooo did you know that 100% of things that burn will keep burning untill they are no longer burning??
Completely read that as SHIT lol, but nice video anyway
Another light source that you can easily craft in a post-SHTF world is a rushlight. Just take a length of rush and dip it into some animal fat. It will last virtually forever once you light it; and you can use a rushlight indoors, too. Medieval peasants made and used rushlights all the time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rushlight
How long does that last for?
This burned for about 45mins
How do you store the tarp? I see, you just pulled it out of the sack not being folded, just stuffed in. Is that the correct way or should the tarp be folded or rolled?
Great question how do you store your tarp? I store my tarp stuffed in the stuff sack because it will help make it last longer. With folding you fold down the same way which over time will create weaknesses along the fold.
Good to see you uploading again dude. 👏🏽
Thanks brother. Loving your content too. Let’s get a collaboration soon
Great set up
Lol just get an axe then
ruclips.net/video/I8LwMVVAVi4/видео.htmlsi=JUrizom8sTOj5Mlq found this great addition by Raven Creek Outdoors, to this set up with stick at the back to give better room -
I call this the tarp tent, and it's my go - to set up.
Cool
Wow this looks amazing, I'm thinking of doing this while motocamping. I can use my motorbike instead of a pole, or just find a stick in the bush. Just one question, do you peg the 2 corners and then ⅓ in from one end? Seems right, but I thought I'd jusy check. I'm sure I'll have a play around with this in my backyard first anyway
Yup that’s correct. Enjoy.
Its not fat its big boned
You are so smart
Had never thought of a cleaning bowl 👌
Just did my first wild camp using this tarp configuration. Not sure where I learned to do it originally but this is a great explanation mate, thanks.
That's fantastic mate! What a great idea!
You are actually so good keep it ip man ❤❤😅😊🎉😮
Music choice on something light/fire related is 🕯

Nice video , the Trig Points are in line of site of other Trig Points and not necessarily on the highest point.
Tyson fury goes camping. Lol
Fantastic video 🙌🏻 thanks for this matey!
First time I see this set up, very interesting! As you said, I don't like to step on my tarp, but I quite liked this concept, I would put my mat underneath the tarp to lay on it. Thanks for that brother!
Great video. Thanks matey. 👍
All these tarp videos are so ridiculous. I have/had an MSR Reflex 1 that offers far more protection, with less weight and less space than this thing. I'd rather a y pole configuration but compared to a plain tarp, still better.
Me likes!!!
Nice Top Brother! I am so tired of these camo freaks!
That's not a tautline, which is a good thing. It is an adjustable grip hitch, which is actually better. The cow hitch is not very reliable and may slip depending on how hard-laid or soft-laid the various materials are. The pole size is about half the width of the tarp, so 1.5 meters or 4'11" in this case. Excellent setup for open/warm or closed down for bad weather.
