Have you tried with the sodium+ or any kind of optimisation modpack with sodium ?
If it is a cpu heavy game, what cpu do you use anyway? Besides, adding shader would be interesting too
You can see it in the benchmarking software, 9700
I feel like the GT 1030 would melt with shaders
@@Superelectricguy2017 I had an ASUS GT 1030 DDR5 2GB version. It ran shaders like BSL at 60-70 FPS on low to high settings. I also had a low-range CPU, an i3 3rd gen. However, I played on servers where the chunks were loaded in the server, so the CPU did not get bottlenecked.

@WiseContepackerTheEighth why do you think that's just what nvidia wants you to think when there's literally no real desktop 2050, yes you can get a 3050 and reball a 2050 on it but that's still a laptop gpu not a full fleged desktop one. and it's a mod made by yourself not by nvidia. and do you really think the average person is gonna reball a bad gpu to swap it out for an even worse one?

@Superelectricguy2017 1660 super in a optiplex 7040, might reuse the card for something else after it depends
very interesting but in my days of living for 15 years id just get a good looking aesthetic intel arc a580 $500 pc that can play games on high/ultra settings but at 1080p instead of 1440p

I jave 9030 sff i5 4570, took lid off, 4 screws and stock 240 psu sits uptop of dvd drive now have room for full size graphic card.
i've been rocking 4 Vram for 5 years, haven't had any issues, i'm not getting a crazy FPS, but 120 has always been enough for me

Well we gotta wait to see what intel is cooking up now. They are working on pretty good budget options now ig
how did the $26 graphics card happen

love my 3060ti i got a 3 fan gigabyte model
I just threw in a LP GTX1650, closed the case and called it a day. I also removed the stock power supply and replaced it with a more powerful 350 watt low profile PSU. This way the 1650 had more space and breathing room along with more power if it needed it.
You know, you would have used a flux PSU to fit into the OptiPlex.
I have never heard of a gtx 1630 lpwkey
My graphics card can't even run those games
My GT 1030 struggled to run GTA 5. I miss those times
1630s are 1650s that got screwed up during manufacturing, but still functioned enough to sell as a lower end card. Pretty neat.
It is pretty neat, but the price was so poor that a used 1060 made this look like 2010 intel hd graphics

It’s not your fault, Nvidia decided to gatekeep the VRAM on the midrange 30 series cards which seriously chokes them today.
Aye i like the content man. Subbed 🎉

I ran a 1070 until switching to a 4070 Super about a month ago and that thing still ran like a champ at 1080p. People use latest gen high end cards to set the bar while completely ignoring reality.
People look at the first two numbers and assume it’s automatically better than the last gen.
Bro is talking facts so shut the f up.
i ran a 2070 super for ages it ran everything i just switched to a amd rx 7800xt
It’s crazy how cheap the 2070 supers are on eBay. Literally $100 cheaper than a 3060 and still faster and nearly as fast as a 4060
The 2080 ti is faster than a 3070 or a 4060 ti. It can run pretty much everything.
Exactly!! I would say the 2080Ti aged even better than the 1080Ti; With 11GB, heaps of memory bandwidth, faster GDDR6 memory, RT and DLSS It honestly is probably the best affordable used Nvidia graphics card.
@ It definitely aged better because of RT and DLSS. It’s still a very solid graphics card.
The Motherboard on this optiplex will limit you and that POWER supply will be a problem to mount. ( I have an optiplex 3050 and I try it all tipes of thinks and now I decide to make a new AMD AM5 pc from zero and let this go. HP thinks suck.
Console is so much easier. All this messing around, Graphics cards manufacturers got a bunch of simps getting excited over a couple frames and selling them garbage
The 3060 ti isn’t worth it just get the rtx with 12 gb ram or you can get the oc 3060 og with 12 will handle very well with anything new
The only “rtx with 12 gb ram” under $500 would be the 3060, which is significantly slower than the 3060 Ti. The 3060 is almost as slow as a 2060 super which (which can go under $160). In my opinion, the 3060 Ti is absolutely worth it if you get it under $250 ish like me, and it’ll be very close to a 4060 Ti.
@@Superelectricguy2017 I would have gone with the ti but for the ti it’s like 500+ with 8 gb of vram and for the 12 I think it’s closer to 600 and some change. Anyway it’s better then my 1660 gtx ti and I got the oc

AMD Radeon 9070 XT vs Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080

Absolutely nothing wrong with these upgrades. 360W PSU for an i7-6700 (90W max synthetic) and a 1650 (75W max) is plenty of overhead, even for transient spikes while gaming.

found a optiplex 7071 i7 9700 for 150 bucks on ebay and was wondering if there would be any compatibility issues with adding a new psu and cpu cooler. its not sff but it also didnt say MT. also in theory if you snag a arc b580 and throw it in one of these would it not be a 1440p sleeper build? or would the cpu bottleneck too much or since the gpu would be running at pcie gen 3 speeds it would all around not be good.
@@saucetheawesome9361 I’m gonna make a video covering all of this because this is a lot; I actually found you would need an SFX psu for these MTs ruclips.net/video/Zk_5x5JmHBs/видео.htmlsi=50NYFd1n6Vvs5lgy. I just put a 500 watt inside of mine and it seems to work fine. *Make sure to see how many pins your motherboard power takes. I had to get a 24 to 6 pin adapter for the psu to work in my optiplex* . I’m not sure if an Arc B580 would fit, some graphics cards have shrouds that are too tall, or some graphics cards are too long. I looked around for RTX 2060 Supers, 2070 supers, and 1080 Ti’s but they are either too long or too tall to fit in the case. I did find that the EVGA XC RTX 3060 Ti is not only the fastest out of those options, but fits in the case exactly like my 1660 TI did. They are also the same exact dimensions (4 inches tall/8 inches long). The 3060 Ti has less Vram than the Arc B580, but will get the same or slightly better performance in games. Pcie gen 3.0 isn’t much of a bottleneck for my 3060 Ti. The Arc B580 only has x8 lanes, the 3060 Ti has x16 lanes as well. I currently run games like Fortnite, FH5, and GTA V at 4K and there’s still a small bit of CPU bottleneck in fortnite at times but still mostly 96% or higher GPU usage.
@@saucetheawesome9361 I got my 3060 Ti on ebay for $230 before tax and shipping, but I won a bid. The used market is typically superior for these optiplexes. If you have a large enough budget and you’re looking into a pci-e riser cable , I would either look towards; RTX 2080 Ti (11gb), RX 6700XT/6750XT (12 gb), 7600XT (16gb), 7700XT (12gb), and that Arc B580 (12gb). Nvidia is not good with Vram capacity at all.
@@saucetheawesome9361 lastly, you could theoretically fit an I9-9900K inside of the optiplex 7070. It has hyper threading and higher base/boost clocks, but you would first need a more substantial cpu cooler for better temps, and also i9 9900s are still quite expensive. You could go with a 10th or even 11th gen i7 Optiplex considering the additional price of the i9-9900 and 9900K. I’m not knowledgeable with knowing what CPU coolers will work with these Optiplexs. The 10th gen has 2933 mhz ram, and 11th gen (pcie gen 4.0) has 3200 mhz ram. If you already have the 7070 though i would still consider putting in an i9 9900 down the line but the temperatures would be high if you don’t have a good enough cooler. Even the i7- 9700 runs quite hot.

yo this was really good bro, an indepth look into how these optiplexes actually work. you think i should do i7-7700k+1660Ti in an optiplex? how bad is the bottleneck gonna be if i do it?
@@choxed. well considering my 9700 doesn’t bottleneck the 1660ti, it could be fine especially if you play above 1080p in older games or load in higher textures. I do believe an 8gb card like the Gtx 1070 would be better though
That should be fine. If anything, you could go with a more powerful GPU depending on your circumstances and use case. I've got 6 optiplex lan rigs running i5-4590s with gtx1070s and they rarely bottleneck on the cpu.
