How should you evaluate your German language skills?
As an expat in Germany, traditional language levels like A1, B2, or C2 can feel too rigid and disconnected from real-life needs. That’s why I use a different approach. In my latest video, I share my 3-level system, focusing on what truly matters: your ability to communicate effectively in everyday situations.
Forget about perfect grammar or an extensive vocabulary-what counts is how well you can get your point across, whether at work, in a meeting, or just navigating daily life in Germany.
For recruiters and hiring managers, this approach could offer valuable insights. Understanding a candidate’s practical communication skills can complement traditional language tests.

For 'abholen', we visualise the place wherefrom something/someone is to be removed. holen = to move sth in to scene or place in questions abholen = to move sth/sb away from scene or place in questions
