I think you have to be in a specific location to get burnice or any s rank character cause I got ceaser on the 1st pull when I was in the upper level of blazewood and got burnice after a few pulls when I was in the lower level of blazewood surprisingly it did work (after I got grace)

ill preface all this with the fact that you should probably just play the game without worrying too much (except the dailies because its easy 60poly) for now since youre still so new, but heres what i look out for in case you want to know. daily resources: -open the video store, get your newsstand scratch ticket, and drink a coffee (the 80 energy one). these tasks are all basically right next to eachother if you just warp to the store counter first. -spend your battery charge on stuff you need. -do up to 3 trust event missions, if you have any characters you can increase trust on (there are some poly rewards in all trust levelups). -get 400 points in the daily errands book (60poly), and clear the 4 daily goals in the new eridu city fund (aka battlepass). doing all the stuff above should most of the time be enough to complete these passively, but get them done if they still arent done yet. -do the daily website/app checkin. these are very small rewards, but its easy and free, and has a 20poly reward sometimes. weekly resources: -do the weekly task in the errands book (this is trivial, just choose the cat picture ones and you can do them after getting your daily coffee) -max out your hollow zero investigation points limit (160poly + a ton of useful stuff) -do 3 notorious hunt runs at highest level available, and hit all 9 weekly rewards (you should get all the rewards by just playing normally, but do 1 extra run in "no rewards" mode at lowest enemy level if youre missing some) -do enough battlepass weeklies to hit the 10k weekly limit. not all weekly goals are required, but you will need a majority of them (5). note that season XP bonuses do not count towards the limit. -additionally theres kind of a secret weekly limit the game doesnt tell you about as far as im aware, you can earn up to 900 z merits a week in hollow zero, outside the 1000 you get from the XP rewards. i personally just do 1 metro2500 run a day, and then abandon the mission as soon as i pick up the second z merits drop (150 a day). monthly resources: -fading signals shop (5 of each tape every month, 900 fading signals total. personally i very rarely buy anything else with my fading signals, since overspending means you might miss out on the monthly tape stock later. buy the limited tapes first, then the standards). -bangbuck shop (5 discounted boopon every month, 100 bangbuck total. doesnt matter as much imo, but try not to miss this by overspending bangbuck on other stuff) -outpost logistics shop (z merits). if you are getting the 1900 z merits you can get every week, you should easily be able to buy every single limited stock every month. just dont buy w engine chips, those are both unnecessary and overpriced. spend leftovers on unlimited dennies stock instead. -outpost logistics shop (investigation merits). the most important imo is the tuning calibrator (despite the ludicrous 2k price) and then master copies. you can buy more stuff there if you think you have enough leftover merits. other people might have different opinions on what to spend investigation merits on. this also mostly depends on how much shiyu defense content you can clear. other temporary resources: -THE MOST ABUNDANT POLY SOURCE: temporary shiyu defense nodes (up to 720poly in critical node, up to 600poly in ambush node). these are endgame content, so they will be very hard to full clear. do not stress too much, especially when youre new. just get as much as you can. critical node resets on the 1st and 16th day of every month, ambush node resets on big updates (~40 days?) -playing temporary event content, check the in-game events tab to see whats currently on (event length and polychrome amount varies). permanent resources: -unlimited tape stock in residual signals shop. you can get some extra limited tapes here (dont buy standard), but if you really want a specific S rank engine you can save up for that instead, though really think about it since you could instead get 30 limited pulls. additionally this shop will offer 2 A rank agents a month. only get these if its an agent you REALLY want or if it unlocks a really powerful mindscape you want to use. -at any time, you can whittle away at permanent content polychromes, which involves, basically just playing the game. so many things give you polychromes, every single commission has some, theres agent stories, trust events, hollow zero data, permanent shiyu defense nodes, mewmew badges, achievements, etc etc. if youre struggling to find stuff to do, you can look up more details, theres no way i can list everything. the game itself does a good job telling you what exactly will give you polychromes too. -spend real money. this is an option, but do not do this. even the cheapest option available (monthly interknot membership) is LUDICRIOUSLY expensive when you realize how little you actually get out of it (its only around 1 pull every 0.32 dollars, and it makes you wait a month). standard monochrome rate is around 1 pull for every 1.50 dollars, which is just, ridiculously bad. do not. closing notes: -you will notice a lot of the things i talked about are not directly polychrome related, but these things will all give you important resources, which can then be spent on things that will help you earn more polychromes (and just help you with progressing through the game in general). -you should only spend your polychromes on the special banner tapes. never spend poly on energy refills, and never spend poly on standard banner, unless you really dont care about limited pulls and would rather get a specific permanent character ASAP (this is NOT optimal. only do this if you are an enjoyment-only player, aka a chad). the game will give you a few standard tapes every week/month via the methods explained above, and there are also some permanent standard tape sources in the game such as character level up milestones ...this is a lot of stuff. i might turn this comment into a video. maybe.
