Realistically how do you find driving this in the winter and on wet Irish roads? about to get an F80 M3 but concerned I wont be able to enjoy it most of the year here in the UK...
I don’t go about booting it every time I go out in it. However it’s not as hard to control as you might think. DTC is very much on point if you leave it on. So I say maybe play around with it on and turn it off whenever you’re more comfortable

@@MihaiDCars you not understanding..I bought a low mileage F82 on plan. I couldnt think of buying a high mileage M4 knowing how I drive the car..nut always very interested to know how you guys do it..and what problems might be coming down the line. So I give it to you.. will listen intently.
Mileage isn’t always a good indicator on the condition of the car. I’d always rather buy something that’s been looked after with history over a low mileage car that’s been abused.
If it has decat downpipes,how are you getting it through NCT?
Decat or sport cat. I’d say it’s most likely sport cat since it’s fine passing NCT

m8 competition with low 20k miles 2021y is around $79k in US
No idea the M4 was ever spec’d with sunroof 😮 Interestingly the rear springs is a common issue, I’ve just had mine done but you couldn’t tell there was an issue to start with. Tax for me on the M4c is £16.45 pcm and insurance is £99 pcm. Finally, I’ve not had any issues with mine other than listed after 2.5 years of ownership. I do give mine a good blast up too.
Yea if you take care enough of it, regular servicing, not launching it every chance you get the S55 and this platform is very reliable. Also one of the previous owners that had the car tuned got the crank hub done I found out so I don't have to worry about that either. And yea Ireland is a terrible country for car enthusiasts. I seriously wouldn't mind living in the UK
@@MihaiDCars absolutely, I get a full service done all the time, it’s always the maintenance skipping for any vehicle that causes issues. Mines on the standard hub, after so many videos and debates I came to the conclusion unless you’re planning on pushing more power you should be fine. Seemed like one of them issues the internet likes to escalate. I’m not sure about living in the UK, dreams aren’t exactly made right here either 🤣
The crank hub goes due to hard changes of power. Standard S55s can destroy them too. If someone is driving in 7th gear doing 60 and then just boots it and it jumps down into 3rd to accelerate that has a chance of breaking it and using launch control is a big one. These ofc are if you keep doing it over and over and over and over again. So basically abusing it. But at that point you have other things you're wearing out as well

Configure the M3 or M4 just like you did here and then press add more extras you'll see how many more packs there are e.g Ultimate pack, carbon pack etc.
You need to select 'Add more extras' below the comfort pack and there's way more options and packs that would make the car even more aggressive, you missed out on all the important stuff.

The heated steering is something I so agree with you about. Spent years without heated grips daily riding a motorbike. Then bought a bike with a heated seat and grips. It's so nice, and you don't realise until you try it.
i feel like it matters more on a bike though.

in my country, canada a m5 2019 with arround 30 000 miles is the equivalent of 45 000-55 000 euro, car are just so expensive these day
I think you missed the black "add more extras" button when specing the M5. But the differences to availability of certain colors and equipment is always interesting to see (I'm from Germany)
all options are in both the comfort and the M packs. I wrote it in text in the video. Only 2 options that you could add on and one was a tow bar and the other is an extended charging cable. So, that was pointless to add in
ha at least you are allowed to modify your car, here in israel not only are we not allowed to modify our cars we also have 117% tax

how about a review of the Reliant Scimitar?
I have the 2018 530E, and its great on fuel. 45 to 68 MPG around town and 35 MPG highway. How can anyone say its "terrible" on fuel consumption? Peace
because it is terrible? the car I was driving had a combined range of 500kms at full. Doing the math that's an average consumption of 30.7MPG and that's with all sorts of driving, inner city and highway driving. That's really bad. As I said in the video the car will perform the best when you have a commute where you mostly use the EV motor then ofc your consumption.

Genuinely nice review. My dad owned this model between 2021 and 2023 so I was lucky enough to drive it for a while. Sadly hes into diesels for some reason, so he got the 530d 😭but still a blast to drive
I still think for this type of car the 530d is the best option. Unless you go for the sporty M550 or M5 but they're at a completely different price range

as someone who has the newer infotainment system, it's not too much better 🥲 sometimes it just dumbs down and won't let you switch from the BMW connection to CarPlay. I then always first try to reboot the infotainment system (press and hold the radio button for 10-20s) - if it wouldn't help also reboot the phone. happens like 2-3 times per season

The Stock 437M wheels are amazing. I don't see any need to change them. They go well with any color of car.
When you say Service, do you mean a simple oil change and coolant, etc. or do you mean a full engine, oil, flush and coolant flush?
Nobody services coolant regularly. Oil, oil filter, air filters, cabin filter, full inspection and labour. That's what a regular service at BMW looks like. Anything else and extra will cost more, obviously.
