It's time to Move On from the Snyder Verse
The Snyder Verse was able to bring a fandom wide dream of seeing The Justice League united on the big screen to reality.
But in doing so caused chaos amongst the entire industry of comic book movies. The vision as a whole was just Warner Brothers' way of competing with Marvel. But even with such horrible studio interference that doesn't mean Zack Snyder is off the hook with the issues these movies faced.

There is No Better Bruce Wayne!

I am sure we all know of Bruce Wayne, billionaire playboy by day and The Batman by night. Bruce Wayne going by his days in the mansion, with all the money you can think of doing whatever he wants, and however he wants. But that's the true mask, almost as if that is the point, almost like that is what would stop you from thinking of him as his true identity, The Batman. Over the course of decade...

MCU Spider-Man is perfectly fit to entertain a child and/or an MCU fanatic. It contains enough juvenile and simple humor that’s entertaining enough to keep a child’s attention. But it’s unfortunately poor quality enough to unironically entertain or bore an adult Spidey fan. And it retains just enough iconography and imagery to temporarily engage a fan of the character. The MCU Spider-Man trilogy lacks the intensity, the style, the flavor, the action and violence, as well as the drama of its comic and even its live action predecessors (Raimi and Webb) and it doesn’t really justify choosing it over the comics except from the villains used in the first two movies which very terribly mishandled by Disney and Marvel. It serves as a vessel of low end modern day MCU superhero entertainment in the current age where Marvel Studios isn’t so sure what to do with their characters after the perfect storm that Avengers 3&4. So basically the priority is just getting a product out the door rather telling an actual solid and emotionally resonant story with Spider-Man. The MCU Spider-Man trilogy is an embarrassment to the Spider-Man legacy. Just absolutely pathetic.

My favorite thing about spider-man is that when he’s interacting with New York citizens he’s basically interacting with us… the way the people love him is a direct reflection of how much we love him in real life but without even having the context of knowing his story. It’s awesome and wholesome

i can't understand how mysterio framed peter for his "murder" what did his body and thousands of destroyed drones disappear? was the bullethole in his body healed? have they suffered brain damage and didn't notice that he was wearing mocap suit? also the recording shows spiderman saying "execute them all" yet no civilians actually die so what in the actual flying fuck has happened there did they really expect entire audience to have brain damage? or do people who actually like those movies HAVE brain damage?

I have nothing against the MCU as a whole, but I agree the way they portrayed Spider-Man outside of Captain America 3: Civil War is a mixed bag situation for me. The Pros: Tom Holland has the look to play a young Spider-Man, has good action, some decent acting, and well executed villains. The Cons: I don't like Ned or MJ. MJ is a miserable character throughout the trilogy, Ned is infuriating every scene that he's in and has no idea what he's doing. The teenager drama, Flash being dumb instead of being a tough bully and lastly completely retconning Uncle Ben. With that being said, he is just a decent Spider-Man.

A BIG issue with this is that MCU Spiderman (Peter Parker) is adaptaion of SPIDERMAN'S (MILES') comic story. Meaning that Peter is comic Miles. This also means if anyone wants to create a Miles Morales story without the multiverse, they will face HUGE problems with the MCU.

I feel like Homecoming had a good start to establishing him as a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man but FFH kinda went off the rails with his direction where the world itself wanted him to take Iron Man's place. I feel like MCU Spidey should just be a street level hero who ends up jumping into larger fray's due to it effecting New York vs he is at the front trying to be something he was never intended to be. Hopefully a new trilogy will keep him grounded and out of these massive encounters unless it is absolutely needed for him to be present. Like for the upcoming Secret Wars, MCU Spider-Man shouldn't be involved in a major way but instead (if the rumors are true) and Tobey is one of leads for the film, he could find the MCU Spidey having fallen to the Venom symbiote and he takes Andrew's Spider-Man with him to get the suit off of him and then they make him just hang back and protect what remains of New York until the crisis is done. This version is way to young to have been through what he has, him being more grounded in stories would do his character some much needed good. That's why I think Tobey and Andrew do a much better job; their Spider-Men are grounded and it's believable that they could do more but are to focused on New York. With NWH, both get thrown into a multi-versal crisis and actually do amazingly well.

Initialy i tought: oh,yet another "i don't like tom holland's spider-man bc he's not tobey" but you're deffinatly right. I love tom holland's spider-man,i love every movie that haves him(except ffh. It was alr but verry flawed) and i love how they've adapted it into the mcu(for the most part. It was tough but they did it) but there are some things that could deff be worked on. I'd like him to have a better conection with newyork and keep his feet on the ground,i'd like him to actualy go trough a hard life,i'l like to see less suits(tho they're all amazing,is just too much) and i'd love more web swinging. This triology was a rly good one but i'm glad it ended and i have high hopes and expectations for the next one. Also, team him up with dare devil to fight king pin. I'd hate to see daredevil and kate take on kingpin without spidey. The reason i love this particular version of spiderman is his potential. Potential that andrew and tobey and miles lacked. They couldn't do teamups, tobey didn't had the advance cgi and videography from today and his movies looked dated and preety goofy at times. Miles is strictly limited to the multiverse. They can do whatever they want with tom(including ruining him.. sadly)

That's probably why the mcu was reset with Doctor Strange. It gives him the time to shine as his own hero and step out of Iron mans shadows, which i think has always held Tom holland Spiderman back. I love all the tom holland saga of movies but I would definitely agree that he lacks his own identity as a hero, he goes from a side kick to goofy kid with powers and its really disappointing. I think what really rubbed salt in the wound for everyone is far from home. He seems to regress from everything he learned from liz allen in homecoming. In far from home he is so fixated on asking MJ out its pretty insulting to the identy of spidermans responsibility. I mean he doesnt even want to bring his suit with him to Venice he could not care about being Spider-Man. I think its just do to the writing however. People responed well to homecoming because it was more of a goofy movie and they wanted to replicate it with far from home and its really unfortunate because its really just the same movie without any of the charecter progression. And no way home is just fan service for spiderman fans so we just get very basic story filler and peter really doesnt evolve until we get the scene with Aunt May.

I love how this discourse is being said NOW when they finally fixed him. Where was this energy during homecoming? Ive said it even back that that it was off. Everyone else said it was one of the greatest spiderman movies ever. I cringed and was filled with anger and now everyone is backtracking and finally criticizing this character. Its frustrates me but when you’re a true visionary, you eventually accept you’re ahead of everyone else.

This is the reason I love the spider-man games. First game was peter 8 years into spider-man, he's been helping people and did his best. The people were with him, even when the worst happened. Feast, his friends and ordinary people. He may have became sable's most wanted at the end but that didn't stop him from helping. Even two of his villains know who Spider-man is under the mask and they didn't tell anyone. There were times where it felt Shocker and Electro some what respected him. Electro and Spider-man bantering, or Herman not wanting to hurt him in the first place during the chance but he felt like he had no choice due to Mr Negative's threats and Spider-man just chasing him. We even see Tombstone excited that he could feel something again during and after his boss fight. The fact people on the street compliment him, that he can interact with them. Even the side missions you can do with Howard feel like this is how a Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-man should feel like. He gets support from Police, his loved ones and randoms alike. Even during the dlc, Spider-man just orders a damn pizza, knows the owners name and the owner knows exactly where it needs to go to be collected. He gains Silver Sable's respect, and the two work together to fight off Hammer Head. In the second game, although a few missions can be done as Peter or Miles. Many of them feel right to do as Peter, the Howard mission there is depressing but heart warming. The Emt's are respectful to Peter, try to bring him comfort. The mission with the grand pa Peter just sits with the guy until the grand daughter can reach them. The photographer, Peter just helps her try to get a great shot. He knows he can't save everyone, but he tries his best to. Even if it means him going down with them. We even see some reformed villains care more about him than they ever had in the first place. I know this can all change in the next few movies, how he can gain the respect and support of the people just by doing what he can. But for right now, Tom Holland spider man isn't a friendly neighbour hood spider man. He's just Spider Man, until he gets moments like the other versions got, from movies to cartoons. Only then he can be considered A Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Sorry if I spoiled the second game a bit for some people but it's been out for over a month.

The issue with MCU movies post 2016 (with the exception of maybe Black Panther) is they care less about diving deep into character's and personality, and focus more on overall MCU story arc. This iteration of Spiderman was more involved with saving the Universe (from Thanos) rather than NYC. Homecoming brought him into the suburbs and DC, and FFH in London, and in NWH, even though it. was a NYC story, the whole world turned him on.

What really bothers me about mcu Spider-Man is the suits from a story perspective. In the comics there’s a connection between Peter and the suit. It’s the suit he wore when he allowed uncle Bens killer to run away. He wears it as sign of not shoving his mistakes deep inside himself. It also gives continuous motivation to him to try to prevent events like uncle ben’s death but not have his mistakes weigh him down to much. The mcu suit was given to him by Tony stark because he was wearing sweatpants and sweatshirt to battle. There’s no connection besides Peter getting a suit from iron man. He just gets more crap from Tony stark until Tony’s death. The comic iron spider suit is impactful because it looks like iron man not Spider-Man. A suit tells a story better than the first mcu Spider-Man movies.

I just don't understand why people hate MCU Spiderman. Especially when they say that "he's not loveable" "not relatable" "not accurate to comics" First of all, why does this matter that it isn't accurate to the comics? I'm tired of people gatekeeping for nothing, except nostalgia. We get it. You're biased because you love the first Spiderman movie. But if we look into it, MCU Spiderman is the most accurate Spiderman to the comics. Why? He's talking and joking while he fights with villains. He acts like a nerdy teenager, what I would imagine him to be like. Why should all teenagers be edgy? It's honestly annoying people are like this. He may act childish and goody, but that's what I like in the MCU Spiderman. The others were too mature and serious. Tobey and Andrew's Spiderman were too edgy for me. And they're good, I guess, but I prefer MCU Spiderman. I didn't feel like they were the most accurate to the comics. And that's fine. I'm tired of people always comparing them and are always biased because of nostalgia. That's it.

    • @AccountNumb
      @AccountNumb 8 месяцев назад

People want comic characters to be comic accurate because the source material defines what the character should be. A lot of things about the character Peter Parker has been fundamentally changed and made less memorable as the comic. “What I would imagine him to be” what you “imagine” isn’t what it’s supposed to be. Tobey and Andrew are more accurate than Tom by a long shot.
