Test on a 2021 V60 T6 Twin Engine, 0-100km/h time measured in PURE electric mode(combustion engine off) - so 87hp only. In hybrid/power mode the combined output gives 340hp and the acceleration is different

I have it in individual mode, optioned in pure mode in the drivetrain setting and light steering setting. The first year hybrids cant lock in fully in electric

In pure electric mode you can catch up with the traffic pretty easily. That's very good. Electric combined with the engine gives much more power. So much that you can beat a Tesla or some Porsches. Volvo did a great job with the hybrid!
What was missing was the team of woman getting paid 77 cents on the dollar doing the same work.

Not bad for pure electric mode. It will do WAY better than that in power mode when combining the electric motor and the gas motor, but the author of this video unfortunately didn’t label that this was a pure electric test. Mostly one would never drive this PHEV in pure electric at highway speeds. Not a great use of the battery which is better used for lower speed urban stop and go

@@sebster6031 yeah electric motor used to be 87HP in the older generation, but 2022 long range PHEV models get electric motor of 143 HP, for a total system power output of 450+horsepower, giving a 0-100km of about 4.5 seconds. I can say from experience that the 87HP of the electric motor sounds pathetic, but actually _feels_ decent when you pull away from other cars at a light in pure electric, due to disporportionately good low end torque.
