We parked in the pay and display just north of the Lock, and inflated right next to the river. Then when we came back, had a cider in the pub :)

We parked in Ferry lane but there is a sign there now saying you can't launch from there, so we carried our boards/kayak up to the lock and got in at the portage point. Will park nearer next time. We then paddled upstream, past Cleve lock, where the lock keeper asked us for our waterways licences, for the first time ever. Parked up in the Higginson park carpark - it's free until mid May - and inflated by the riverside and took the board bags back to the car. Lots of swans on the lookout for small children to snack on, but it was easy enough to get in the water. Paddled up stream to the next lock and then turned round for a downstream head-wind paddle back to the park.

Starting from Wellesley woodland and paddling east until the Aldershot Aqueduct over the A331, then turn around and paddle back. Battery ran out before the end :(

Paddleboarding from Sheffield Bottom lock near Theale, west upstream to the next lock, and back. Our first trip out of the year, it feels like spring, but the current was so strong we couldn't get any further, so we turned back sooner than expected.
