    Respected sir, I have a doubt since in previous video u used different formula (R=1/(λ*Id)) to calculate the resistance and so I used that formula but by using that the resistance is coming different as calculated in this video. So sir i need your suggestion regarding that. That's all sir thanks.

    how does the node Y becomes small signal ground as it is connected to current source whose small signal model will be open circuit.

    sir, for maximum value of output common mode voltage will be "Vdd - Vsg3". During biasing vx and vz should be same.

  • @biswaruprana1970
    @biswaruprana1970 Год назад

    Condition for M2 to be in saturation is:- Vsd ≥ Vsg - |Vthp| -> -Vd ≥ -Vg - |Vthp| -> Vd ≤ Vg + |Vthp| -> Vo ≤ Vg + |Vthp| For Vg=1.25V (which is within the spec of the ICMR) ; Vo=2.5V(set through feedback in this example) ; |Vthp| = 1V 2.5 ≤ 1.25 + 1V (Condition is not met) So if you have a common mode input voltage of 1.25V and output common mode voltage of 2.5V then M2 will not be in saturation and the the 3V(p-p) will face distortion .

    Professor made one mistake!! Keeping overdrive less actually increases your random offset. ΔI= gm ΔV, if there is any mismatch in the two branch currents of a diff amp it gets reflected as an offset voltage at its input. I ∝ (Vgs-vth)^2 ; If the diff pair has a mismatch of +/- 10mV in it's Vth then ΔI will be more if Vgs is comparable to Vth. So always keep Vov more to reduce standard deviation in offset. You can also see how high gm helps!!

    Sir, If Af is increasing like 1,8,64,125, the poles should move on jw axis, So how can the poles enter in RHP ?

    can anyone tell me why exactly he assumed current in power budget is 3mA

    • @RohitSharma-vu6bt
      @RohitSharma-vu6bt Год назад

      It is because in the specifications the power dissipation was 10mW and Vdd was 3V. So if you divide power dissipation by Vdd the current in the circuit should be arround 3.3mA for which he allocated 3mA for the circuit and rest 330uA for biasing.

    Watch the two videos listed below which begin with descriptions of differential-mode and common-mode currents with animations. A basic scheme of a differential amplifier is introduced with the description of the analogous operation of a U-tube manometer. This is followed with a description of enhancements to the basic scheme of the amplifier to make it suppress common-mode output voltages more efficiently. The Basic action of a Differential Amplifier- the heart of the Opamp. Part 1 of 2 ruclips.net/video/uggOykLShMU/видео.html Part 2 of 2 ruclips.net/video/jLJAYyap5WA/видео.html

    effect of cy always mitigates the gain at higher frequency due to its low impedence. which is a good sign for common mode gain and cmrr. Is the effect of cm gain seen at low freq or high freq due to cy?

    Hi Sir, thanks for the explanation. What's the significance of having gm in the mismatch equation? Also, what role does vgs(having it small or large) play in the mismatch since we have gm?
