Review Kas Goosfraba, September 2023, In September, we stayed at the Kas Goosfraba property on Bonaire for a two-week vacation. The house is exquisite, and you can see the quality and care that the owners have put into it; everything is of high quality. However, we decided to cut our vacation short after one week, and here's why: The house becomes incredibly hot under the Bonaire sun, with temperatures outside reaching 34 degrees Celsius (feel temperature 41 degrees Celsius). Surprisingly, the interior of the house is even hotter. The beautiful kitchen, with its high-quality appliances, is virtually unusable because of the excessive heat. Likewise, the lovely seating area becomes uncomfortable during the evening hours when you want to gather and relax due to the high temperatures. Our only refuge was to stay outside by the pool, and when night fell, we had to retreat indoors due to the presence of mosquitoes. We could only find relief in the bedroom, thanks to the air conditioning. After enduring this for a week, we had to make the difficult decision to change our KLM flight tickets and forfeit the remaining week of our stay, incurring a total cost of 1450 euros. You can imagine that such a decision, with such expenses, was carefully considered. Additional notes: 1, There are cameras positioned at the main entrance and in the direction of the garden/pool area. I find this especially concerning regarding privacy. Using my iPhone, I took a photo from the camera's perspective (at the same height and location), revealing approximately 75% of the entire garden and living area. 2, The surrounding area is currently under construction, with work taking place next to the property from Monday to Saturday. Throughout the day, we could hear a concrete mixer, drilling, and hammering. This was not disclosed by the owners or mentioned anywhere. This also applies to the opposite and farther areas of the complex. If you seek tranquility and peace, this is not a positive aspect.
