Honestly despite literally being a genocide run I think this ending is better than mass murder non-genocide neutral runs. Because in those you just kill people with no remorse *or consequences*. You can spare 1 whimsun and get off scot free killing everyone else. But in this run you faced the consequences all the way up to the hotlands being evacuated and having to beat Undyne the Undying to get there. People feared you, people truly reacted to your murder, and unlike the ending where iirc just everyone felt miserable because so many people were dead but there was no Alphys to take charge, this ending feels like the same loss of hope in the face of death but it was so traumatic an experience it forced people to unite against you. You kind of did Alphys and the underground a favor by commiting to genocide until the last moment instead of dancing around neutrality. Regardless, go to hell

Best neutral ending it got the character develompment and the raw line "I should kill you if I had the chance" along with Sans's "go to hell" in the leaderless ending.

Fun fact: When you kill Undyne on a neutral run, this exact OST plays as she is about to die Imagine playing it through the ending, hearing how Papyrus wishes Undyne could send him a post card, and having the OST remind you of how you killed her and how she died… Saying I’m marveled is an understatement. Maybe it’s more accurate to say that I’m terrified

OMG!! I LOVE THIS I ALWAYS HAVE QUESTIONS ABT UNDERTALE LIKE "WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I KILLED PAPYRUS AND UNDYNE, BUT NO ONE ELSE" IM SUBBING RIGHT NOW!!!

There's something so eerie about the state Alphys is in this Neutral Run. She lost Undyne, Mettaton and Asgore all at once. And normally this, coupled with the Amalgamations, would drive her to a bitter end. And yet the tragedy was too much, it actually pushed her to take action and help everyone with a newfound backbone. The way she's so calm about this predicament, without even a stutter. How she's both thankful of Frisk/the Player for "helping" her take courage... and serene in voicing her desire to kill them... Alphys is an already broken girl who's got nothing left to lose anymore, looking like she's on the verge of completely losing her sanity... The lack of music or sudden imagery makes it even creepier.

I didn’t know there was an ending where Alphys survived even after Undyne has been killed

i got this ending still in geno route but spared 1 core monster, sans didnt fight but i went back to kill it and put me to nutrual

While Mettaton seems to be happy being the new Emperor, not all is right for Him, as He misses Alphys due to Her disappearance, and even tried to find Her. It really shows that He genuinely cares about Her... poor dude.

Thats a sad ending because we never actually killed alphys...(you cannot kill alphys in the game) the sad fact is, she May be committed su!cide. So yeah sad ending...

being someone with mettaton as my favorite character in the game, i actually kinda liked seeing him that happy in this one, i wished he got more dialogue during the true pacifist scene before "he" appears (to avoid spoilers), i also wanted to see a friendship event afterwards between him and the player but oh well (maybe i missed something not required though?) Always loved mettaton =)
