Not a big film fan, usually fall asleep as they are too long, but not when this one is on. Best film ever made in my opinion.

It's crazy to think that aside from achieving a then record of 103 cars used in a movie, lots of the stunt driving were actually real. I mean, none of the scenes where the cars drift around or smash into each other or random stores are fake special effects, many of them were instead filmed and driven on location instead of a studio set just like in Bullitt, Gone in 60 seconds, and many other car movies of the era! But the only difference, the final chase scene probably used green screen for the part where the German car falls down from the sky and when the Bluesmobile is flying through the air...

I always liked the drums crash in time to the music. I genuinely love the anti pretension nouveau riche this film has. It has lot in common with the scene in ghostbusters when they trash the fancy hotel!
