    What kind of bed lift system is that??

  • @OL-mb6qe
    @OL-mb6qe 25 дней назад

    Where does she sit and relax? She wants to stand all day or sit on a tiny bench?

  • @OL-mb6qe

    I really like it. The client can customize and use put lots of personal stuff and details in the ‘entryway’. BUT a sliding door would have made it perfect because now nothing can be placed in the way of it. I like the shower bag idea. But 250 lb weight limit on bed is sketchy for sure.

  • @ninecatsmagee8384

    Seems like a load of wasted space in this design, but maybe the woman wants an open area to change clothes? Couldn't figure out why you'd have an "entryway."

    That bed lift needs to be redone. Who wants to deal with that NOISE? UGH. That was poor quality for the customer.

    Fantastic styling. Question: is it hard changing lines or backing up, when trying to see the back/right side of the van?

    This is without a doubt the best van/box conversion presentation ever. I got to see the whole thing and how it functions without having to hear its ridiculous name (why do people feel the need to name their vehicle?), about how much 'reclaimed' stuff you put in, your 'live edge' countertop, how much you like to use organic stuff and on and on ad nauseum. Well thought out and well presented! I really like the awning window. Good idea. Also not a 'look at my girlfriend/wife's skin show' presentation. Thanks

    Great job, did I miss the toilet?

  • @ChoKwo

    I really want to like this but this build is just not good. I can be constructive. First, the ceiling. This has to be a custom build right? This ceiling is way too low for most people, including short people. It would be claustrophobic. How is the ceiling that low? It is shorter than most van builds not even talking about box trucks. Secondly, the Murphys bed supports would definitely break one unfortunate night. Third, what is that shower??? How do you not spill water everywhere? Why not show a solution for that? Fourth, why is there a wood stove in a box truck? Sometimes builders need to talk clients out of things. That thing will heat the inside in a couple minutes max, and would be dangerous to even be near in a small space due to how high of a chance it would be to burn yourself. Lastly, the layout is just terrible. It's one long, compact hallway. I have seen vans that feel more open and spacious. I can't wait to sleep with the oven knob next to me. Can even wash my hands without getting out of bed. Lastly last, where's the toilet? Box truck builds are so good because you can put so much more in them. This looks like someone put a (bad) van build into a box truck with no afterthought. All that said I like the concept of the murphy bed (just not the execution). And the fold out window and desk is really nice!

      @tjsdwellings Месяц назад

      Wow! Thanks so much for the engagement! First, we don't manufacture box trucks, so you'll have to take the height issue up with Chevy directly. I'm sure they'll welcome the distraught feedback. I'm curious in your professional opinion why you believe the murphy bed legs will break one fateful night? They are each secured with 250 lbs support braces in addition to a bench support. Looking forward to your analysis. Installing a full shower is expensive for people so we kindly broke it out into 2 phases, the second phase with plumbing and a door will come next. In terms of the safety of the wood stoves, these particular models are built specific for small spaces like vans, RV's, campers and even box trucks. Like you said they are wildly efficient, and you'd only need to use it for a few minutes! The toilet is a compost toilet that is housed in the shower, not pictured in the video. We also wanted to disagree on builders talking their clients out of their wants and needs. We will always make a professional recommendation on safety and design but we will also always support what our clients dream up and need for their particular situation. Really glad you liked the murphy bed & window - we're looking forward to hearing what Chevy has to say.

      @@tjsdwellings I have my own custom build with a builder in progress with plenty of oddities! The builder has talked me out of things and I don't think it was a bad thing. I stand my ground for the things I want but some things have unseen safety issues, or engineering concerns, or are just wildly expensive. When they've explained to me in depth I have definitely dropped things, so I definitely think builders need to sometimes be blunt about the realities of things! Re: Chevy. I would just not choose this truck to convert. I understand it's a price and aesthetic thing but even the vehicle of choice is a decision in the build process. If it suits your needs, and you don't get claustrophobic, then who cares! But definitely that would be a common criticism if this video gets more views. Re: Murphy Bed. It's the circular legs/shelves. The form factor is not one I would trust. They look unstable. I'm not sure how much use one would get out of those tables so if it was me I'd probably swap it out for regular rectangular legs.

    The fact that it sleeps four if needed also needs seat belt for two more people somewhere?. Would have to have shower plumbing. No freezer. I like the back and drop down. Wonder why no one makes a bottom bed like you have but use the head space for a loft, for storage. I have never seen one done. I know this was custom, but mine would use up front space for extra seats or extra anything.

    This was a really nice van. I've never seen a cedar shower. Awesome. The bed lift was clever. If there was just a bit more headroom, you could get 2 bunks in there. But this was built for a person who wanted it this way. All depends on what your needs are. It was a beautiful build.
