Thanks!
Man that sounds great Jimmy I can listen to you play all day and I appreciate you explaining all the presets and all the other settings that you can add that is one fine setup
Thanks so much Jody!
Lets goooo
@@blackwolffishing4183 thanks bud
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Been meaning to get one. It’s such a unique instrument, I love lead bass and bass chords. Has a great tone and great playability. Amazing playing.
Thanks. I highly recommend getting one. This is a Squier and plays great for my needs
The most musical Bass VI demo I've heard, now to find one on sale...
Thanks so much!
Wow dude you make that thing sing. Great playing!!
Thanks man!
Impressive. You can definitely gig that.
It's fun for sure!
Great video. I bought an SC-2 after watching this a few years back.
I remember your comment on the @maplestreetguitars page!
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar how about that? Cannot do what you do but you certainly ran that Fallout through it’s paces. Great stuff
This is a great demonstration video. Last year I bought a Harley Benton bass vi to see if I like the idea as much as I thought i would. I do, and now I'm looking at maybe upgrading. This video is really comprehensive, shows off the instrument better than I've seen others do. Thanks!
Thank you!
very nice
Thanks!
I switched from a 65 twin, even that was bloody heavy, to a Roland JC-40. I stopped gigging years ago. But still play my Roland at home. Sounds great in Stereo
Stereo is awesome
PS, if anyone knows someone in the Nashville area who can repair my original line 6, 500 and Line 6 700 guitars(they still play beautifully and are immaculate in condition, but whatever I try, new batteries/stereo cables, they no longer make their sounds…). Has anyone else out there had that problem? Cheers/ Slainte and Godspeed. 🎸👨🏼⚕️✌️🫶♾️
I would reach out to the Variax Facebook Group- or Igor @ Line 6
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar thank you very much. Cheers/ Slainte and Godspeed.
I have been a devotee of Line 6 since the pod came out and have been astonished in the studio and live with the results. I still have the original, at 2.0, an XT, an XT Live and the footboards for the PODS.I would move up to the newer pedals - like the Helix- but I don’t want to give anything away😂. I still have my Vox AC 30TB and a fender custom shop bubinga “Woody“; however, are use them more in my studio for practice.🤷🏼♂️. Line 6 rules…imvho. 🎸👨🏼⚕️✌️🫶♾️.
My philosophy is more is more... real amps and modeling are both awesome and I want more! 😂😂
Yngwie has entered the chat, "More is more" lol!
This is the internet. You can't just publish something that is fact-based, well-reasoned, cohesive, and truly well-delivered. You also forgot to mention "mojo". 🙂🙂🙂 Seriously, back in 2016 I had two Twins for cleans, two Fuchs ODS for gain, 2 2x12 cabinets, and a pedalboard the size of a dining table, plus a second board with effects that did not fit the first one. Today's rig is a Stomp XL, a Tonex in the loop for amps the HX does not have, a Carbon X, a Boss OD-3, and, if needed, a Fulltone Supa-Wah in front of those. Output is through the Powercab 212 Plus in stereo. Not missing a thing.
That's what I'm talking about. I bet your chiropractor misses you
why stop there? pretty soon you won't have to take but a single guitar and your phone; and then after that , you won't even have to take yourself, as the singer's AI on his phone will play guitar for you.
You can log in from a sleep pod and cast your dream avatar in to your gig, with all your perfect settings dialed in while clouds roll overhead and puppies frolicking in a field of grass
I like a lot of the new stuff. I have a spark and that was my first dabble with digital. I like the sounds a lot and the versatility. I prior to that I gigged with a peavey special 212 for years and played at church with my dad’s 67 fender vibro reverb 212. I have a peavey classic 50 and now I just use them in my music room. I play through a pod go and my pedals at church.
Great rigs all around!
Gen x here. I went the digital route for a while because I’m gonna get paid the same whether I’m packing a head and cab or a modeler. The modeler is much easier to deal with but then I plugged my amps back up and that was it. Tube amps feel better to me and I haven’t gone back to modelers. Not to say that I won’t in the future but for now I’m digging the amps.
I hear you! I love amps pushing air, but live with good monitoring... modelers are hard to beat
And....I just did the exact opposite. I haven't played in a band since 2010 and at that time I was playing through a Digitech RP250 into my Hartke keyboard amp because it had a good direct sound. A month ago, a friend brought me a Bugera 1990 tube head to repair. I had no idea that Behringer was behind the company, I've been out of the loop for 14 years. I was surprised at the build quality, a couple real unique features of the circuit design, and the sound. It impressed me to the point that I went to Guitar Center's website to see if they had any used Bugera single 12 combos and they had a Vintage 22 for $290. I bought it and now the Digitech pedal is just for whah, compressor, harmonizer, whammy pedal in front of the amp. And I have a Zoom G3 in the loop for delay, chorus, phaser, reverb, etc. So, I'm a Gen Xer that went from pedal tone back to tubes. 😄🙃😆
That's cool. We have so many options now. I love tube amps and use them still, but they don't leave the house. Taking a Helix and going direct is ideal for me, but that's not ideal for everyone. Behringer has some great offerings at a fair price
Hello. Such a good Helix channel... Iam A DIY pedal freak since 2003. I must say the helix has super accurate when it come to RAT, Big muff thing, no other plugin has convinced me .. maybe the other plugin can sound good but not as accurate to real pedal like helix did. Think Im done with diy, helix is a pedal heaven. .. just tried the red lamma model, awsome big sounding overdrive
Thanks so much. I agree, it does so many models convincingly that I took my analog board apart. Cheers!
I switched to digital in 1991. Became a Fractal devotee in 2007 when it started. My current fly-rig is a Line 6 HX Stomp. I have a Tonex One as a backup. I was doing a huge gig last week with my AxeFXIII/Mastermind GT/22 rig and, at soundcheck, the *bass* player (a great friend) had a go at my rig and said "Only 'pretenders ' play that stuff!". He was using his usual gigantic pedalboard with 14 stomp boxes!!! No sooner had we started soundcheck when his rig had a hideous noise that the techs spent *an hour* of our soundcheck time trying to track down. They never did. He ended up plugging direct to a DI box. The keyboard player noted that I had won that battle. My bass player was left red-faced.
Wow! That was eye opening for him I'm sure. You probably have a convert with him, he will be picking your brain
You're right Jimmy some guys have the mindset that only a tube amp will get good sound get good tone I'm 68 years old personally I have never had a tube amp I've always used digital amps and processors to get my tone and sound I cannot stand the hiss of tube amplifier Line 6 make some wonderful products I am currently using a boss ME 80 PROCESSOR I play a lot Eddie Van Halen ZZ Top Lynyrd Skynyrd Ted Nugent Robin Trower Led Zeppelin and that's how I capture the tone with a BOSS ME 80 PROCESSOR I would really love to try one of those Hilux like you play with I've heard you get tones that I've never heard before with that monster anyway I think you're 100% right you got to change your mindset we're always chasing tone as guitarist
I agree. The technology has come a long way, and is improving every year it seems
I have an older Twin Reverb and it's absolutely silent. I've played through other tube amps while touring and not one of them ever hissed.
Can you please tell me what strings you're using. Gauges??
Hey there. These are the new Fender Rounds, 24-100. Thanks for watching
Killer playing! what would you recommend for a nut lubrication? I use a led pencil , but is there an actual other product I can use? cheers!
Hey man, thanks. I highly recommend Big Bends Nut Sauce
Amazing playing!
Thanks so much!
I definitely need an SG or a V way more.
I blame Gary Louris from the Jayhawks for making me also want an SG, w a Vibrola. Love his playing. Big fan.
good job i‘ve got one
Thanks!
Thanks for the tip Jimmy love your content I don't understand why you don't have a more likes but oh well that's not important I know how awesome you are on guitar
The right people just found me early. I greatly appreciate it!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤
Pretty sweet man! Those pickups are uniquely cool and those guitars are one big solid hunk O’ wood. That all equates to killer tone! Loved the demo. Now I want one. :)
Mission accomplished! Thanks!
What an awesome instrument. I want one so bad, I’m a bass player who learned guitar and eventually realised that using chord tones in guitar solos was just the meat and veg of bass playing looked at from a different perspective and the light went on for me and suddenly I got it and anything with strings was just a matter of tunings and I was away and flying around in no time on anything. This thing would bring together my 8guitars and 6 Basses , like a missing link 😂
@@kevinhughes1355 thanks for watching! Get one, you'll love it
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar I’m sure I will, it’s fired my interest more than anything else in months, it’s like the penny has dropped and I get the connection between the guitar and the bass whereas before I always saw them as completely different instruments but this is like the missing link in them and I gotta get me one. Yr playing is really good by the way, hat off to you for your dynamics and phrasing, not to mention attention to tone 🇮🇲🔥👍👍
very nice
Thank you for checking it out
Great vibe and playing with nice fx to fill out and complement the composition.
Thank you for watching
Thanks for your indepth view into this with good examples and musical playing
Thanks for watching!
You never cease to amaze me Jimmy your quality of guitar playing is amazing you have a style like no other in my humble opinion I can listen to you play for hours and that Firebird sounds amazing I've never seen anyone go through all the settings that they have but it did sound amazing thank you Jimmy Galloway
Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate it so much
What does the rest of your chain look like in the helix? Lovely tone. And yes the drums are awesome
@jakeyboy2929 thanks! This chain is feedbacker>Aristocrat>Dynamic Hall> Cosmos Echo I think. I may have a LA2 after amp at about 30% mix, before reverb delay. Cheers
What's an "LA2"...? (please excuse my ignorance, but Google actually didn't help, either)
Studio compressor
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar Ah, I thought it might be that one... Thanks! 🙏🏻
No problem. I set it at end of chain around 30%, the rest are the factory settings. Tends to work well.
Very cool! What amps can handle this though? A modeler and frfr could do it, but if I tried it with my Vox type amp it would fart right out, and might just die.
At lower volumes, a 2x12 combo or 4x10 should handle it. It would shelf frequencies the speakers couldn't handle. That being said, I use Helix and Powercab. If I'm playing with a group I'll use a patch with a crossover- everything below 250 goes to a powered Speaker straight to FOH, while 'guitar' goes to the guitar rig.
Very tasty playing! And thank you for making the feedbacker come to live. :) such a great use of that effect!
Thanks for watching!
Outstanding video. Cheers!
Thank you!
I tried to like but there's something wrong with my pad anyway I do like very much thank you Jimmy
Jimmy Galloway you never cease to amaze me you're one of my very favorite guitar Pickers your style is completely unique bro those Gretsch guitars sound amazing
I'm grateful for your continued support! Thank you so much!
Damn if this isn't the most musical demo on the internet. Can't wait to try some of this stuff. Really appreciate you putting this out there.
Thanks so much!
great playing. thanks!
Thank you for watching!
I had one and regretted selling it! A rocker's dream!
I traded my Les Paul and never looked back!
Great 👍🏼
Thanks for watching!

Beautiful demo! I have a Squier CV Bass VI that I'm really starting to explore more. This video is really inspiring.
Thanks so much! Glad to hear it

Love your drums! Thank you!
