Did the bike not start before this
Another way if this doesn't work for you: Remove the tank and spark plug. Place a long object like a thin blade screwdriver or thin metal rod into the spark plug hole so it rests on the piston top. Use your hand to slowly crank the kickstarter. When the object is at the lowest point before it starts to move back up, that is where you make the adjustment. What ever you use, make sure it is clean and won't leave any debris in your cylinder.
Is this the same on a 09?
I have a 07 but after I did that process I try turn the motor to make sure the chain was tight enough but it wasn’t because the chain still was loose any idea why?
Thanks you saved me a lot of money 💰
Thanks for the info helped me out big time, my cam chain was slack as f**k, & the bike had a really loud rattling noise, I’d be told the cam chain tensioner had failed & to add a manual tensioner but I’d seen a few vids saying dont use them, I come across your Vid & bam the bike is now spot on so big thank u cheers Daggy
Haha got the like at this thing should be fuckin golden !! 🤙
Thanks worked great
Awesome fucking video 👍
"im gonna keep it it short and simple" proceeds to make a 1 min fix into a 6 min video.
I'm working on an 05 it doesn't have that bolt. It only has the one big one
Thank you for the video. 😁 by chance does anyone out there know the correct timing procedure for an 88 drz250? There are marks on both cam gears but im not sure which ones to line up and where they line up. Any help is much appreciated! Please and thank you!👍🙄
I have an 05 I'm going to do this this week
This guys a fool. The tension doesn't change throughout the whole stroke.
@Twowheelin Ward yes. With the auto adjuster just release the net and the allen, then tighten them back up in the opposite order
Thanks, bought a Rmz on Friday, makes the same knocking shitty noise, thanks Will fix it toworow
Is it safe to remove and replace both the engine plugs? The tdc one and the bigger one at the fly wheel
Baud yes the bigger plug is how you turn the engine over to line up the timing marks
My lil-thumper is a 1988 Suzuki DR200. @ 30 years old the noise I have is scary. I adjusted the valves and it helped a little. I think the CCT is my issue. Thx for the tips.
I have rmz 450 in 2007. did not work for me. Any ideas?
Maido Argel ....take the tensioner out. Loosen the nut and Allen key then push the spring loaded pin in and tighten the Allen key only. Put the tensioner back in. Then loosen the Allen key and listen for a quiet click. Then tighten the Allen key and then tighen the nut. Then your done.
Could you text me or send me an email please I have an 05 and this is my first four stroke and I have a few questions 8652751659 or marcaslinger1988@gmail.com
