Springtime 2023 Portage Glacier
Used to be able to step onto the glacier from the road in late 70’s. Now it’s so far away you need binoculars to see it 😆. The earths cycles are amazing 🌎

Plastic resin shed to an office done by myself 😁
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.2 года назад
Turned a Craftsman 7’x7’ plastic resin shed into my office by framing the interior with 2x3’s, insulating and OSB boards for the walls. I’ll eventually paint the inside white but I needed to start using before I had a chance to paint prior to laying down the laminate floor. Initially installed the insulation backwards so I corrected that with much better results. I still need to cut the boards ...

Americas Best Bowstring custom bowstring. Glacier blue fiberglass with inlays. Very rare bow. Feather rest and arrow shaped strike plate is how the bow came from the factory.

Nice bow, does it stack at all past 28 inches?
@@mountainmuleman0311 not @ all. Supposed to be unlimited draw but idk about that lol
@TradCat1970 yeah I read that in their old catalog yeaterday😅
Did you notice a difference after flipping the insulation facing inwards?
Huge difference.
@@TradCat1970 tyty!
Im doing something similar but in a garage and using a 8x10 shed
Been lookin for a set of 45 limbs for mine currently got 35s on it but only real medium game i could hunt here with it is turkey but id like to tale a deer with it
Check this out. I used a D97 string on this bow and the string cut into the top limb. I bought another 76er with 50# limbs. It shoots nice 🙂
IDK, I would hate to work in that shed. Super utilitarian approach, but I would hate to work in that shed. Spend a little more to have a more enjoyable space that you look forward to working in. Like is it really that much more for a decent stick built shed?
I think they went with the wood for rigidity. Could always use some mold resistant drywall if you want but these plastic sheds tend to crack and bow. Can also always paint the wood too.
How is it holding up to weather and water since you put it together?
Very well! Never leaked during rain storms and the framing has withstood windy season. I’ve even moved the shed about 15 miles and it’s still held up well. Also now worries of mold with the plastic resin exterior
I forgot to include that rust isn't a concern either
@@TradCat1970 not sure what state you’re located in but do you notice humidity in the shed?
Very well. I had the shed in Norco, CA originally but I moved it to Riverside hills so we have relatively low humidity. The rain we have received haven't phased the shed though.@@Salty4eva
@@TradCat1970 awesome thanks for the help. We’re practically neighbors. Chino!
Finally a video of someone with the same idea I had! Waiting on my 8x20 lifetime shed to do this in my backyard. It’s going to hold my drums so I might use thicker insulation
I agree especially if you’re not going to run AC or a heater 👍🏽
How are you providing power to your shed? And Also, what did you use for the foundation? Thank you!
I added a 20 amp breaker to the house and am running the outside grade extension cord to the shed through a slide hole that was included with the shed. I used concrete pillars and just leveled the dirt underneath them to put the 2x4 treated studs on. I framed the platform according to the diagram that’s included in the instructions for the shed. The diagram suggests 2x6 but I felt that 2x4’s would be sufficient. So far it’s worked great.
@@TradCat1970 thank you so much for your reply!
where did you get your foam blocks at? nice bow brother.
Thank you. I got them from my brother in law who is an engineer for construction company. They use them on construction sites 😊
The camo on the limbs looks tight! That is a sweet bow!
Thank you! I made a quiver that matches the limbs 😊
