I have been listening to the podcast The Bible Project and also Ask NT Wright anything. My faith is strong but as I dig father into my Christianity I am seem to be learning that some are pointing to some verses that is mentioning that after death that is it. Can you help me with some verses from that Bible that better explains that after death there is a new life ? I am guessing that the writers couldn't elaborate too much about the afterlife because of the repercussions of it. Thank you

Hello, Tim! Great questions to ponder… which I will more fully. My initial reaction to your first question is “both”. Our grand adventure could be completely positive and on the surface no burden at all but there’s always some kind of opportunity cost. We likely will have change or stop something that previously was important and now can no longer be the same. Or we have to face uncertainty and the rigger of learning or finding the solution in order to realize the new call. These challenges or burdens are what eventually make it possible to find satisfaction… at least in my humble experience.

Pastor Tim...first of all, many joys and blessings to Amy and you, as you celebrate with your family Andrew at West Point and Luke's marriage!! Jack and I listened again, together, to your Reflections on Faith podcast...good stuff; afterwards, Jack and I had a discussion on "our" letdowns. Interestingly, Jack admitted to me that he really doesn't have that feeling (although he will tell anyone that the best time in his life was when our children were married, to name only two of his most memorable occasions). He is most certainly a steady person...Me? I get that letdown for sure...but both of us loved this podcast...thanks for your wisdom and the reference to "Mindfulness...".A friend of mine in NC quotes from this often.
