the first few ayat reminded me of this concept of love fear and hope. love : ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ hope (in the One who is..) : ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ fear (the One who is) : مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ Ibn Al-Qayyim (رحمه الله): The heart on its journey towards Allah (سبحانه وتعالى ) is like that of a bird. Love is its head, and fear and hope are its two wings. When the head is healthy, then the two wings will fly well. When the head is cut off, the bird will die. When either of two wings is damaged, the bird becomes vulnerable to every hunter and predator. (Madarij As-Salikeen) Shaykh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله ): • Whoever worships Allah upon love only then he is a heretic, • Whoever worships Allah upon fear only then he is a Kharijee, • Whoever worships Allah upon hope only then he is a Murji, • & Whoever worships Allah upon love, fear and hope then he is a Muwahhid believer !! (Majmoo al Fatawa)

amazing lecture that inspired a random multiple hours worth of research and reading about surah al fatiha and it’s beautiful intricacies which resulted in improvement in my khushu in the very next salah alhamdulillah. had me pausing after each ayah remembering everything I’ve read and heard. super excited for part two of this which is going to boost this even more inshaAllah. may Allah reward the ustadh for sharing and teaching aswell as the person who suggested this lecture idea. truly inspiring and impactful ولله الحمد

Example of التقديم والتأخير In Surah Fatihah, إيّاك came before نعبد and similarly إيّاك came before نستعين So إيّاك is التقديم and نعبد and نستعين are تأخير This gives exclusivity I think. It is only Allah we worship and it is only Allah we seek help from. Example of إيجاز حذف In the ayah اهدنا الصراط المستقيم both إلى and على are محذوف so by omission we can use both meanings. We are asking Allah to guide us TO the straight path and stay firm ON the straight path. Example of الإستعارة I think it is in the ayah اهدنا الصراط المستقيم In الصراط المستقيم I think it does not really mean some physical straight path but it refer to the true religion, (The religion of Islam) the correct way of living our life which will take us to the Paradise and it is the way of the messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلّم .
