PUBLI K7 - Octobre 1976 (Rare French Lounge Disco Pop 70's)
Publi K7 was a short time-lived cassette club by annual subscription plans.
For a very cheap price, only covering shipping fees, the suscriber received a monthly compilation cassette, with 20 tracks in various styles (pop, rock, funk, disco, jazz, easy listening), most of them were exclusive covers of international hits by local or european anonymous bands, often similar to originals, but sometimes with significant variations.
Some french audio advertising were included between some tracks, that was what paid the cassette manufacturing and maybe also the musicians.
Anyway, it probably not lasted more than one or two year, as these cassette club was contemporary of the beginnings of musicasse...

Non, vous confondez avec la comédienne italienne Serena Reinaldi. Cette Céréna s'appelle en réalité Marie-Ange Cerezuela, et malgré les apparences, elle est corse, née à Bastia, et n'a pas une goutte de sang italien. 🙂 Mise à part sa brève carrière dans la chanson, elle n'a rien fait d'autre dans le show-business. Aujourd'hui, elle est mère de famille et illustratrice de livres pour enfants.

Non, hélas, pour l'instant, je n'ai que l'Aquitaine et la Provence du Rhône, que j'ai toutes deux numérisées. Je n'ai pas encore trouvé les autres régions de France. Les cassettes de Macadam Music sont très difficiles à dénicher aujourd'hui, les gens qui les ont achetées à l'époque sur les aires d'autoroute ne les ont pas gardées. Les deux que je possède, d'ailleurs, ont été récupérées par des revendeurs dans une déchetterie. S'ils en trouvent d'autres, ils me les mettront de côté, mais ça reste quand même très éventuel.

@@dorianbrumerive Yes even though I haven't really listened to these guys in 30 years I was able to spot that right way. This was one of my favorite songs back in the day and if there were any discrepancies at all I would have noticed. But I did get to see them play live just a few weeks ago! Only the lead singer is still original. But other than being older he hasn't changed a bit. Same hairstyle and glasses, I swear!
