    I believe AV needs to adopt Battenberg markings Green and Yellow as green is the colour of Medicine like the UK ambulances have. Also use all blue lights as red is confusing with bicycle red flashing lights. And UK sirens tones are lower frequency and heard much easier and discernable than this siren and regular sprinter sirens. Please at least update your livery markings yo Battenberg and incorporate Green and lime yellow like tge UK. Ireland and most of Europe use Green yellow and so does WA and SA ambulance services. Here is a video depicting why UK example of all Blue lights... Battenberg markings and a full rear chevron not just part way like AV has... and UK style siren tone is so easy to hear and discern... Using all blue lights with white will help drivers know its an emergency vehicle. As brake lights tail lights and flashing red lights bicycles use are confusing with the red used on ambulances in australia. BLUE is evident as its not used by anyone except emergency services. I woild love to supply a rendering of the markings update for AV... djfil@live.co.uk I joke you like the UK example and your thoughts here or email reply on lights all blue and siren tone.. SA ambulance service uses full chevrons on ambulances as well 😀 ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxMKMvU1k-hh_qD-X9xfGxG1_nk4bjRi70?si=P0DKSbOB68Wrxv7z

    Greetings from NZ. I live in a very small (population 225-250 people) rural location. Joined Goodsam few weeks ago and never thought I'd get any "action" where I live. WRONG!! Two in two days (one heart attack and one suspected cardiac event which turned out to be otherwise). Please if you qualify to join don't hesitate-it really could help save a life. It's free, very easy to use and could be the difference.

    So good!! Such a disgrace that a "law" had to be changed to allow this, but they have made so much progress since then. So many successful female paramedics, MICA and CSO's. One day we hopefully won't have to recognise females in any industry because they will just naturally be there as equals! 🙂

    Many times it is an off duty firefighter or St. John member who arrives first, I feel AEDs should be made cheap enough or subsidized to be available to all emergency personnel, even if it is just a CellAED.

    I know this is an older video so my apologies on commenting so late but is this procedure any medically different than a mid clav needle decompression?

    • @AppleSauce123
      @AppleSauce123 Год назад

      Yes. Needle decompressions are mid-clavicular 2nd intercostal space. Chest tubes are typically inserted mid-axillary at the 5th intercostal space. Chest tubes are much larger, allowing more air/blood to escape, and the location of insertion is more applicable to a hemothorax where gravity will help to expel the blood from the chest tube.

    • @vikingsfan2123
      @vikingsfan2123 Год назад

      The failure rate of needle decompression to resolve a pneumothorax or hemothorax is very high. They often times have to be repeated. Success of finger thoracostomies is much higher. Also, often times needle decompressions are done incorrectly where they never even reach the pleural space.

    • @Roboambo

    • @bettysmith4527

      Needle decompression should only be done if there is a tension pneumothorax. Chest tube can be done for any hemo/ pneumothorax that is thought to be big enough to be causing an issue. Needle decompression requires a long needle, at least 3 inches, most services in the states now require they be at least that long, back in the day there was no regulation and many services carried a 2 inch needle which is not even long enough to get into the pleural space on most adult patient's.
