This version of the song began to play when i saw my ex with her husband in a store. It was a bitter sweet moment but this rendition definitely captured the nuance perfectly. I still tear up listening to this song again

I'm sorry, I too feel nostalgic about this song, but in this version her voice is just objectively bad: off-pitch & incredibly shaky with a lot of breaks. Jesus.
eh, i still like it but ik not everyone does and that’s fine. someone said this was at the end of a live show, so they were likely tired; that could explain why some say their voice seems a bit strained
@@aster7159 thanks for at least being realistic about it! :P I was simply thrown off by the sheer volume of people saying things like the performance was magical and that her voice is perfection. I was just kinda like... 🤔
imo I think the breaks add to the emotion this is the only version of simple and clean that sounds super sad to me. Its a very non-formal and unique version and I personally value that.

hehe. i haven't used it in a long time, but this was my favorite result from it. i first heard of it on tumblr several years ago.
Man reminds me of simple times I was 18 when I finished Kingdom Hearts. Seeing that cut scene where kairi draws her giving the paopu fruit to sora still makes me cry when I see it again.

It is indeed not perfect by any means, but I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. That’s your opinion though and I respect it.
@@jester5106 this is taken from a live show, she sang it at the end of it so voice was probably really exhausted and it's a hard song to do
I actually like the little imperfections, it sounds more authentic and real
@@sofianebenaissa711 Same. I'd rather this than be bummed out by some playback/lipsync that musicians seem to be doing more and more these days. It's also unreasonable to expect them to sound the same as a professional studio session that allows multiple rerecords

Agreed. Kingdom Hearts was the first and last game my father ever got me before his passing. He was a very talented musician. I have sadly forgotten what his singing voice sounds like but I will never ever forget the way he played guitar/bass guitar. KH and my father are the reasons I am a musician today. I hope I can live up to his talent one day.
