Love your work Jeannie. How do you preserve your greenery. Margaret
Some great work there on the First Folio. What evidence do you have that Middleton didn't just copy the words from Macbeth? You didn't mention the huge amount of finance that would have been needed to fund this project. The Earls of Pembroke and Montgomery the Grand possessors of Shakespeare's manuscripts surely had a hand in it, their Mother Mary Sidney a recognised scholar and editor of her brother's works died across the street from Jaggard's print shop. Is she the corrector of the errors in printing? Ben Jonson was at the time employed by the family. The Condell and Hemmings prefatory material has been shown to be the work of Ben Jonson and in places a direct translation of Seneca.
FYI, couple of historians identify the period that S-speaer wrote as: one of the most violent in UK history; the real start of the Industrial Revolution!
I think it would be very difficult to identify any one period as the most violent in UK history, given the competition. But it's true that rapid changes in socioeconomic structure at that time kickstarted both professional theatre and the means of production being increasingly owned and developed by a wealthy middle class.
Your video is incredibly engaging! _ "Success thrives on relentless commitment."
Thank you for this wonderful presentation Liz!
As a UK teacher of 20 years, I notice that there has been a policy shift toward knowledge retention, i.e. memory tasks as a measure of intelligence. Creativity is seen as the province of the artists and poets and not the realm of serious academia. The intelligent view is of course to collapse this binary, and see that knowledge and creativity should be working hand in hand across education.
I would love to hear from those who are interested interdisciplinary research across Theatre, Children, Digital, Paediatrics, Palliative Care, Co-design, Co-production and Public Engagement. Thanks CREATE Research Centre at the University of Sydney for the opportunity to share!

I love the concept of dreams as "layers of fictional protection". Combining that with the "story within a story" construct really creates an interesting depth to the performance. Great book to be inspired by. Thank you Persephone! ♡
Thanks for your good words Ana. I am delighted that students and staff at the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest find my practice of interest. Keep up the fantastic work! Persephone
I never knew anything about dance until I watched this video! Thanks!
An exquisite balance. Thank you, my friend, Matt Ottley
What I see, as a secondary art teacher, is that parents seem to see the arts as non-intellectual, admin also believe this too and the government. Parents are blind sided believing the arts careers only provide low income jobs. They want lawyers, doctors, etc. the kids have no choice. There are science teachers teaching design/creativity. STEM education is leaving the arts and arts teachers out. We are not allowed a say. We are in a constant struggle, yet they enjoy experiencing creativity via galleries, netflix, games, etc.
This was such an important and inspiring discussion panel. So needed and the arts are so misunderstood in its importance and education within society. I hope this happens again and I can be there. X thanks to every one involved.
I wish I could have been there in person, thank you for providing the recording. It is vitally important that The Arts are valued and supported financially.
