Nashville, TN based guitarist and bass player John E. Jump's channel (friends call me Johnny Jump). Here is a collection of mostly music videos that feature me on one or the other of those two instruments. I've had the privilege of sharing the stage and/or recording with many well known artists including Artimus Pyle, Rhett Akins, Kentucky Headhunters, Linda Davis and daughter Hillary Scott, Wade Hayes, Warren Haynes, Engelbert Humperdink (yes, I said Engelbert Humperdink. The universe is CRAZY sometimes!), and several others. I also have a couple of home movies stored here from the days of 8mm film featuring my mom, dad, three older sisters and two younger bros. 4-Track Breakdown (but now it's restored) :)
Most of you wonderful 260 (to date) people came here and subscribed because of a love for country music. Here's a little number I wrote right after I fixed my TASCAM 4-track cassette machine. I needed a song to record and test it out with, and so I call this little country music chicken pickin' number I wrote The 4-Track Breakdown--a little tongue-in-cheek wording with play on a song title like Scruggs Breakdown. Anyway, "breakdown" really applies here in the literal sense. I broke this beautiful mechanical marvel machine of the 1980s down to uncomfortably small parts and fixed anything wrong with it I could find. Who says cassettes sound bad??? They appear to have been made around 1962 and '63 in and around the Asheville, NC area. Uploaded mostly for my siblings and cousin's viewing, but anyone can view if they wish. Sorry, no audio track.
