I love your colors! Black,white and pink are always so dramatic. I’m making one with scrap yarn in fuschia, baby pink, shell pink and possibly purple( I am also using a variegated with these colors all in one). I may add black and white,if needed.

The pony bead weighted blanket that I learned how to do you did multiples of two with a chain one and then instead of doing single crochets and doing a bead a single crochet a bead a single crochet you do the half double crochet and then the bead stitch is a single but since the beat is big it makes up that difference this way you have a little bit of a stitch in between the beads. I found that when you do the half double crochet in between each bead it gives it that little bit of cushion so that way it's not pulling inward because a single crochet is tight or if you're going to go by UK terms it's a double crochet and then I don't know what the term for half double in UK terminology is

Hi, Tansy. Thanks for making this tutorial. It was pretty straightforward, though some people may need a refresher on how to make the alligator stitches (dragon scales). I turn my work clockwise until the first dc of the 2 dc cluster (for going down the scale) is horizontal, so it's easy when you think of it as a row you're going to dc around. Then, after the chains (if the pattern calls for them), turn the work counterclockwise for the 2nd dc of the cluster to be horizontal. Then dc around that. Secure as per pattern instructions.
