Brilliant. What makes this different from other football anthems is the way the melody has big gaps in unexpected places. The rhythm is really complex compared to the more typical team song. Other team-related songs in similar 3/4 waltz time are: Flower of Scotland and the Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen - but nothing compares to Sunshine!

This is incredible. I watched that final and this anthem does justice to their heroes on the pitch!! At last they delivered the Holy Grail.

Hibernian needs to play in Europe, just to hear such a passionate song sung by such loyal supporters. Then maybe, just maybe European football will return to the true fans.

Every time I go on ytube l have to watch the hibs supporters sing the beautiful song sun shine on Leith,those videos are the best of ytube and l hope they keep them I'm not really interested in football but my heart will always be with hibs supporters, the way they belted out the song made my heart proud to be Scottish l know my beloved brother Jimmy was so so proud that day also proud to be part of hibs all his life he saw hibs win the cup before sadly passed away peacefully in the hospice, l will support hibs in memory of him l think he would want me to. 💚💚xx RIP my brother x 💚
