    Oh my Florence Lawrence was the first movie star nxt was Mary Pickford and Wallace Reid. I watched some of her films on YOU TUBE!!!. SO GLAD THERE AROUND. Shows us how MASTER DIRECTOR D.W. GRIFFITH made movies! We are lucky to be able to see early Hollywood. Im sorry Florence ended her life that way but they didnt know anything about cancer of any kind. This happened when she injured her spine i presume. She was a great actress. Silent pictures you had to use your expression and they did have written dialogue you could see.

    Thank you gor doing these documentaries. Have seen Wallace Reid films for about 5 yrs. Love each one of them. He was a great actor and a humble, honest man. Him and Dorothy really loved each other. He started in 1909 or 1910 was his first movie. Loved that Dorothy was an actress and starred with him I remember her . I still can't believe that they gave him morphine and never let him rest which was what he needed. A little morphine for pain and alot of rest. In a sense they added to his decline. He would've been more of a matinee idol. HIS son Wallace, Jr started looking like his father in that one pic of him and his mother. So sorry he is gone. Could've learned about his dad as a youngster. Such a sad thing to happen to a great actor.

    There is a fascinating NEW book out in 2024 on DOROTHY KILGALLEN by a FEMALE AUTHOR who has found the "smoking gun": the proof that the man long suspected of foul play in DK's death had a connection to U.S. intel. This is based on EXCLUSIVE, TAPED INTERVIEWS with him. Here is an in-depth interview with the author discussing the new findings and debunking some of the reckless assertions by a male author who has distorted Dorothy's story but so dominates RUclips with his rambling claims: ruclips.net/video/01m0T3JI6yM/видео.html

    He was cabling his ex wife, Natacha, who was in Paris at the time. They were going to make a full reconciliation and get back together when she returned from Paris, but he died before it could happen. Natacha gets a terrible rap as being controlling and awful, but she really wasn't. It was a smear campaign created by studio execs who hated her.

  • @aaronz7056
    @aaronz7056 3 месяца назад

    Here's why Kilgallen was not murdered. a) Kilgallen's exchanges with Ruby came during his public trial where he could have come forward with any statement he cared to make... and didn't. b) Her reporting was only going to be part of a much larger book on other trials she'd covered she wasn't planning on publishing for months, hardly an urgent expose. c) If she was in possession of any info that was going to blow any conspiracy wide open, she was sure in no hurry to do anything with it. d) She was hardly less high-profile a person than Kennedy himself. Killing her just becomes another murder, requiring dealing with more murderers, more evidence, more suspicion, more publicity, more cover-ups... the last thing some conspiracy would need. e) The idea somebody marched into her apartment, with her family home, no less, and shoving pills down her throat is laughable. f) It was oddly NOT equally urgent to kill Ruby, his attorneys, or any of those crackpot conspiracy authors who spent years and years crowing loud and long about how they were going to blow the case wide open...???

    • @famousfinalhours
      @famousfinalhours 3 месяца назад

      The pills were mixed into her drink, possibly by her 'boyfriend' Ron Pataky. Read his two poems that he wrote after her death. Watch the videos of her two hairdressers on this website www.thedorothykilgallenstory.org/dorothy-kilgallen-in-video.html They were witnesses to what was going on in her life and felt threatened themselves.

It shortened her life considerably. Comedian Fatty Arbuckle also fell prey to the rotten studio system and their "doctors".

    First of all, most of the truly significant information presented in Mark Shaw's books is NOT new, NOT based on his personal investigation, despite what he shamelessly tries to make his readers believe. The proof of that is that it's derivative of a magazine article called "Who Killed Dorothy Kilgallen?" by Sara Jordan-Heintz, which was published in 2007. She was the FIRST to print the name of the man suspected of being involved in Kilgallen's death; the FIRST to print interviews with persons close to her (like Marc Sinclaire) who had never been interviewed by police; the FIRST to reveal new forensic information that pointed to murder; etc. Now Sara has produced\ a new 2024 book out now called "The Incredible Life & Mysterious Death Of Dorothy Kilgallen". It runs 414 pages and contains a huge amount of NEW information that no other book contains. She has found the "smoking gun" of the case: the fact that the number one (unofficial) suspect in Dorothy's death, Ron Pataky, was connected to the CIA. He revealed this in exclusive tape recorded interviews done for this book, that NOBODY ELSE HAS. Pataky admitted not long before his death that he had participated in a covert operation launched by CIA director Allen Dulles and run by E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis. The latter said Dorothy "got whacked" because of her plans to "blow the lid off" the Kennedy assassination. The new book traces the evolution of Dorothy's probe of the JFK murder, which no other author has ever done. DK came up with major revelations that undermine the government's official story about a lone assassin. Jack Ruby's attorney, Melvin Belli, called Dorothy's reporting "the ruin of the Warren Commission." The new book also goes into great detail about the JFK assassination with up-to-date information based on important revelations gleaned from recently declassified government documents and other sources. So this is both a fantastic biography on Dorothy, and also the JFK case. This book is available in a print version on Amazon and other sites, and as an ebook on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, etc.

He had to pay the price of the living hell that is opiate withdrawal just so Hollywood could cash in on his talents. Someone should have stepped in and got this man into detox !! But I guess it was 1922 not 2023 and the way people looked at addiction is much different !! I read that he was on set fumbling around and just fell to the floor crying ! I also think Wagner is involved in Natalie's death. What a shame she lost her life at only 43, and the world lost a great talent - one of the few child stars to become successful actors as adults. One child star whose adult life turned out horribly and ended with his premature death was Scotty Beckett, who had acted in some great 1930s/40s films like Kings Row. You must do one of your great videos on him!
