Love my playseat trophy, I just built a pedal plate out of 4040 profile and it's solid as a rock. Solved all the pedal flex I had with the original
@philsmith8846 man, I'd love to see how you did tbat or some pictures. You mean you replaced the Trophy plate or built the 4080 and attached it on top?
@jameslsimsports8514 completely replaced it, theres another video on here under trophy pedal plate mod. I made mine a little smaller than that to accommodate asetek Invicta pedals. I'll try grab some pictures for you
ruclips.net/video/cUoagR8Rr-E/видео.htmlsi=2_SstvqfaH3GZR_1
@philsmith8846 i took a look at the video it's awesome! All you need was aluminum profile i guess? I'm completely new to it. I wonder where to buy some for this mod in Canada. Would I need a certain size of it?
@@jameslsimsports8514 I ordered a couple of 1m lengths and then just cut to size with a hacksaw. I did two 350mm outers and three 315mm lengths for the internal structure using corner brackets
This is the first film that shows the true speed of a race car.
Could you mount the pedals to the plate of the playseat trophy without the baseplate? I am thinking about doing that. Any disadvantages?
That's not possible with the P1000. They're not modular like that, they come bolted to their base plate. You can unbolt them, but the base plate also serves as the USB control box. So it goes where they go basically. The only reason for unbolting them is to switch them to the Upside down mounting position, also sold by Simagic
Does anyone know what size they are? M6 x ?
@Antonymatheosdossantos i forget but it doesn't need to be precise so just go bigger. 20 or 25 should be plenty i think
after everything is setup , do these new apps downlaoded need to be open and running or only simhub need to be open?
@@completetoolz no Simhub takes care of everything. Btw you don't need to install Razor... just skip that part all together
Thank you for the overview! I was thinking about upgrading from the Moza SR-P to the P1000. Did you get the hydraulics as well or the "normal" ones? And does it feel sturdy enough with the Haptics on there as well? Thanks!
Thanks, I didn't get the Hydraulics as that would have been almost 200 extra per pedal. The P1000's are solid, but there are a few things I don't like. The angle of the pedals can't be adjusted (just the pedal faces). I also dislike how small all the springs and elastomers are. But with the brake kit, you can dial them in very well to your liking. I think for the money though I would go for VNM Simulation pedals. Absolute quality there. Just my two cents
@jameslsimsports8514 thank you for the answer. I heard similar things from other people, as it is harder to adjust the pedals. I also thought about getting the inverted ones, as they look more ergonomic. But i'm not sure if that is feasible for the playseat trophy
what is the name of the button plate? link doesnt work anymore
Search for Simsonn button plate on Alliexpress
What mount did you use for the shakers?
I got it from Etsy. I can just use any mount that is for the old Playseat Challenge, and mount it to the Trophy seat frame (It's the same diameter as the Challenge).
One suggestion: better cable management. Looks a lot better.
One trick i saw another person do on RUclips was instead of putting a towel back there take a pool noodle and cut it to the right length and stick it in that back pouch to give you the extra lumbar support
That's not a bad idea. Actually my back feels fine with the default support, I ended up removing the pillow because it was shifting my brake pressure to much not being totally against the back. My big problem is, I'm not comfortable with the pedal deck height position. I just can't get it low enough how I like it. And the seat itself is super low to the ground. Other then that, it's solid.
I got everything working, and it's amazing. But after a restart, I can't for the life of me get it working again. Any suggestions? Is there a specific order I need to do things? I have simhub all green and registering the light in each detection grid, and the govee linked with the app, windows programme and razer. But it refuses to come out of the lights! Do the lights need to be turned onto a setting on its little hub? Left off at the hub? So fristrsting cos it's brilliant when working.
that's weird. Btw, you can uninstall Razor app, you don't need that. Do you have multiple monitors? Also I highly recommend getting the Daniel Newman Racing Simhub plugin, and profile for the lights. You can email me for some help if you like and we can connect via discord jameslangevin@gmail.com
@jameslsimsports8514 thanks so much. I'll take a look at that plug in. I'm going to uninstall it all and do a fresh install tomorrow and see how that goes, then I may well be in touch. Thanks again.
I have a Trophy with Sprints as well. I find that when I brake hard, the pedal distance adjustment drifts. It's enough that I have to re-set the distance once a week if not more. Quite a hassle when the adjustment requires undoing and re-tightening bolts. Have you experienced this, and if so, do you know of a solution? Cheers :)
Yeah there's no way to mount the Sprints securely. You can only mount them with 2 bolts (which is a major pain in the ass to do). Sprints and Playseat Trophy just don't go together
@ Mine are mounted just fine with 4 bolts, it’s the Trophy itself moving lol
@jonasclementdk with the Sprints plate? How did you manage to mount 4 screws? It's super akward to get your hands in between the Trophy sides and the area of the Sprints screws. Plus I could only find two holes that lined up probably for the Sprints place
@ yeah the line-up is super tight. There is one spot where they line up though, it’s a bit further forward than you have them. I tightened the screws with T-nuts on the bottom of the pedal plate. Much easier to do if you unmount the pedal plate. I’ll try and post a couple of pictures later
@ I'd love to see how you did it. I'm at jameslangevin@gmail.com if you ever want to reach out. But yeah, there is a ton a movement with the Trophy especially where the tub frame joins with the front part. You can feel it under braking. For the price, it's a little ridiculous. But I'm getting an 8020 eventually.
I need the exact same back pillow.🧐
What's with all the smoke coming out the back?
it's rain splash
which games do you primarily play?
AC and iRacing
It´s light and stylish but not comfortable. The lumbar support is terrible and does not allow for the best posture. I had one for 2 months and sold it.
I find it quite comfortable, but it's tough to get everything adjusted just perfect.
Thanks James for the great discovery and explanation. Did you already try the bigger lights? (H6047) EDIT: Found it on your channel! Thx!!
@@Freddy_Merckx yup, I'm using the H6047's as my main lights now. I recommend them over the smaller ones
@ I came across the longer version of those featured in this video. They are called „Govee RGBIC LED Lightbar“. As they just seem to be the bigger brother of the ones shown in this video, they also might be compatible with Simhub, right? I tend to use them as they seem to be more easy to mount to the rig (as overhead lights for example).
@@Freddy_Merckx Check on Etsy there are mounts for Govee lights. But I haven't seen any mounts for the bigger H6047's. Just the smaller ones.
@@jameslsimsports8514 Yeah but I found a bigger version of the smaller ones. I think they have the product number H6046. They could be a great compromise having the same mounting options but being bigger. 30 LEDs, 38 cm long.
Just ordered them as they also currently come with a great discount.
Looks cool

Oh nice, I've ordered this button box for use with a Simagic base and a spare 13" wheel which should hopefully bolt up. I got the aluminum version which is probably heavier but I think should be fine.
It's a solid piece of kit for a great price. The only two cons in my opinion are 1. The shifter magnets are a little two lite for my liking. But do-able. 2. The shifters are a bit of a reach if you want to bolt on a round wheel with any push out for the center (which is almost all of them). Other then that, it's very nice. I can't wait until the Simagic new neo box comes out.
@@jameslsimsports8514 Awesome, thanks for letting me know, at least gives me some ideas of what I'm getting into. I wonder if I can 3D print some extensions to the shifters to bring them out another 1/2 to 3/4". I guess I'd have to get it in my hands and see how it. For me this will be for a secondary rig I'm setting up (trying to make it compact yet as classy as possible) for the back corner of the living room. That way if there are ever guests that want to jump in while rest of us are talking they can do so :) My primary rig just has the simagic wheelbase and its GT1 wheel.
@svtcontour i was thinking the same about printing some 3D extensions for the shifters. If you cone up with anything please let me know!
@@jameslsimsports8514 100% will do :) Mine will be arriving in about 2 weeks. Also I'm in Canada (Durham area in Ontario). So happy holidays from a fellow Canadian :)
@svtcontour oh nice man! Happy holidays my fellow Canuck. Betting you have a bit more snow up there than in T.o. atm. Yeah I'd to grab or purchase whatever you come up with i bet postage wouldn't be much
It is a solid chair but there is a little flex on the pedal tray but doesn’t effect play
Why is it smoking all the time I think crape video
It's rain spray from the tires. It's spelled Crap not crape.
Ok so I've got the govee light bars setup. I'm wanting to add a spotter car left effect. How can I make sure it only flashes on my left light bar?
There's a way to set this up. Check out Daniel Newman Racing. Join the discord, and he has the answer.
@@jameslsimsports8514 I subbed to him as soon as I watched some review videos. It's done everything I've asked for and then some. Thank you so much for making videos about this man!! I've got 2 light bars installed so far and have 4 more on order lol. My family is about to HATE me
@@jameslsimsports8514 Hey James, ended up subbing to his patreon and downloaded the same profile as you. I have gotten one weird thing though.....I will be in the middle of a race and sometimes my ambient lights will flash white. Ive noticed it happen pits or other stopped cars but it's not always 100% constant. I've poured through the ambient light profile for dnr and I can't seem to find anything that would connect to this issue. Have you ever heard or seen this before?
Hey James! Found your channel from watching Dave's lights. I was able to follow your videos and get them installed successfully. But, this is what I'm wanting to do.... I'm wanting the lights to show ambient light while driving but as soon as a flag gets displayed, I would like for my govee lights to flash the flag colors. Do you know if this is possible? If so, would you be able to help show how to configure it? Thanks again!
Wonder how this La Prima compares to a Logi G Pro
I think they're both great. The Logi been a little more akward as it slants up and is a bigger wheelbase.
With that much smoke coming out at the rear it would be a box box urgently situation- I think some cgi licence was a play here
Can i use it with a moza r12 ??
@@gr1ngo3_49 yeah, these plug via USB
Go Vee not Goo Fee
When you assign color effects to a light does it mix with the ambient lighting (capture layout) effect? I’d like to use one of my lights only for LED but I can’t delete it from the capture layout tab
No it doesn't. The Effect takes over we'll in duration.
Did you try the simjack UTs on the trophy? I've just tried and the flex is crazy. Seems the default elastomers are too stiff but not sure if just me. Pls let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!
@wintertorrent yeah I tried them, they bolt on fine. The flex isn't too bad, but you need a DYI of some sort because the pedals faces are too high, and the Simjacl baseplate doesn't fit the Trophy.
Is there a way to make it reflect the flags? Like flash green when theres a green flag, yellow on yellow flag, blue and so on?
Weird thing is that my SimHub don't show my triple screen there even when I use Nvidia surround and also choose NV surround in Simhub to set up my Govee light bar. Simhub pick up only one screen for me. And also it shows old display pic on it which I changed already 3 weeks ago. So I don't know how SimHub took this old " screenshot ".
Thanks dude, got my P1000s today and I could not figure it out with the screws and bolts that came with it, they dont even fit the holes on the simagic pedal plate itself, so i was a little bit confused here.
@sindreeidem5336 the bolts that come with the P1000's won't fit the Trophy holes. You meed M6 bolts and to use a washer.
Hey man here a follower of your channel how is the asetek wheelbase? Is it better than a vrc or a simagic
@oscarchavezracing Hey bud, thanks for the sub! I have never tried a Sinagic or VRS base. Just the CSL dd, which i had prior. But i will say that the Asetek is a top notch base. The response time and software are incredible. Asetek is at the top, in my opinion. That being said, i have some Simagic products, the GT Neo and P1000's. I'd be quite happy with an Aplha Base. My second choice would most likely be the new VRS base that is just coming out, it looka awesome and torque upgradble. I'll do a proper video on the Asetek soon about why i got it.
Sim magic + play seat greatest combo
@SuperGenRacing it's a really good combo, especially because they bolt on without a hassle. Hope you're doing great Kag
Do you live in distillery district? The background looks familiar
@@kenroh3694 yup
Sell me the qr2 pro when yoir asetek arrives....
😂
Did you have to drill holes to attach the La prima?
I have the invicta and i had to drill holes 87mm distance, but you can find a Layout online
Yup
I have the CSL DD on my Playseat Challenge (yes i mounted two little "arms" behind the wheel plate to make it more rigid, I am actually considering soldering the wheel stand tubes to the chair, I do not open it any longer to get in and it would become even more solid). I have attached also the Fanatec H-shifter and handbrake. Really happy so far, and I need a foldable rig as I don't have space. Question for you: can you adjust the wheelbase height on the Trophy? This is my only issue with the Challenge, well I'm lucky to be tall but I would love to move the wheelbase up and down every now and then depending on what I'm playing or when I let someone else drive. At the moment I just put a pillow on the chair..
Nope, the wheel height is fixed with the trophy as well. All you can do is adjusted the tubes which gives you a little height, or decreases it. At your height, it should be comfortable I'd imagine. I'm about 5'10 and have a small gel cushion and some lumbar support. It's been very comfortable lately.
where should i place the json file?
Sorry, not the same in real life
obviously
how tall are you
@@michaelmyers71997 1,80 m Why do they ask
5'10
Team Trophy 💪🏼 I was okay with the challenge, I was looking up videos on how to mount bass shakers just for fun and this video popped up. (I already have some mounted) my options were limited when I started looking to upgrade from the challenge, and soon as they announced it I bought in. Love it, and it takes up just a bit more room compared to the challenge. 🎉
The only thing that's a bit akward is that's so Low to the ground and it's super akward to mount certain plates
@Salustmaio i hear you, im kinda in the same boat. Make sure you bolt down the ledals with the challenge, there's mods to do that
So i got the logitech trophy last week and I'm waiting on my buttkicker i see you have one i can't wait!!!
Awesome man. It took me a couple weeks to get it dialed in to my liking. But two things are REALLY important. 1. A thin gel cushion to sit on (I also use the same one in my actual car). 2. Lumbar support memory foam pillow for your lower back. After I put in the lumbar support pillow, it's way better. I'm going to do a video on them. Also, pro-tip, if you're adding shakers. Add them to the seat frame (not the main frame), you'll have much better vibration. Also just look for any Playseat (challenge) mount will work because the Trophy seat frame is the same diameter as the challenge diameter. So you just need to look for Playseat challenge mounts for shakers. Mounting pedals, is still a pain in the ass because of the way the sides of the tray comes up, you'll see. I have my Sprints with base plate mounded, but could only get 2 screws. It works ok with that, but not as stable as it could be.
how tall are you and can you see over the wheel ok?
@@michaelmyers71997 i'm about 5"10. You can adjust the frame so it"s taller. It works well once you have it adjusted
i bought these pedals and i love them so far. I still haven't got used to the stiffness of the brake pedal, even when using the softer elastomers. Dou you have the same feeling? Is not lubricated yed
The stock setup, with the yellow elastomers felt really good to me. But it's all personal, you could try swapping them out for something even softer. If you're new to Loadcell brakes it takes some time to get used to it. I found the throttle actually much to soft.
I got mine a few days ago and I’m new to load cell and the default setup for me does feel really hard to press, I’ll give it some time
Hello James, which plugin for use the stream deck as a blackbox? Thank you for the answer.
There's a couple different ways you can do it. Nowadays I'm using the Control Mapper through Simhub. To map everthing. But you can also just trigger whatever you want via iRacing
Much much better than previous one for sure! Have fun man! 💯
@SuperGenRacing thanks my man! It's expensive. Still paying it off. But at least it feels like a proper seat.
I have the invicta coming and its shokcing to know this thing can handle that when set to 15nm. Its a great rig and very comfortable. The asetek wheelbase is gonna blow your mind man.
@reviewforthetube6485 i can't wait dude. Alrhough i was a little disappointed i had to send it back right when i got for REM. Not exactly sure what was wrong with it... data transfer speed chip or something
The La Prima is REALLY good
@@jameslsimsports8514heck yeah! I knew you would love it. Things a beast. Remember though to maximize its feeling. Keep it at 12nm in the software. Then reduce or adjust in game. You will get rhe bedt loading and unloading feel and edge of grip with details that way. Usually when people love from fanatec they go ahh not as much as I thought because fanatec really is underatted but if anybody moves from anything over to asetek it's absolutely noticable. Its funny I even like there stock gt3 setup.
