Просмотров 6084 месяца назад
This is a demonstration of a 1910 OXFORD Type J.F. Tapering Arm Talking Machine. About the size of a late Victor II and with a 9" turntable, this machine was made by the Victor Talking Machine Co., and sold as its OXFORD and Zonophone low priced line. The OXFORD machines do not carry any identifying decal or badging, and were sold by SEARS via Mail Order. This is quite an uncommon machine, in E...

1901 Mahogany Berliner Gramophone
Back when your Butler had to wind the gramophone for you in your manor house.
Very nice. It's nice to see it being played instead of just sitting somewhere untouched.
Scientists discover lost Temple of Poseidon and it's even bigger than expected thus proving once again he is real
I have an Edison Gem phonograph that looks a lot like this one. How do I find out what model it is? The plaque on the back has the serial number G98632.
A pity old music can't be 'enhanced' the way old B&Ws have been colourized.
I’ve heard that indestructible cylinders like that wear the sapphire stylus down very quick
We like to think of people from back then as cold and uncaring, but they were just like us.
oh my god it’s everywhere in the death of humanity (i think it’s called that) stage 2
Looks and sounds like brand new. Beautiful machine.
Well played!
Just purchased one!
Strauss was still alive for this recording!
Probably upon hearing this recording, he could not bear it and the following year, 1899, he gave his soul to God
the picture in the back adds a lot
Wow gramophone I like your videos
Wow phonograph you have cool videos
That is impressive. Now I am intrigued as to how the friction diaphragm works.
Beautiful!!!!
apparently this scared the crap out of kids then😂
New favorite song 🎶
Wow I Cant Imagine How LONG That Songs Been Your Family
"Capps", not "Craps"!
Great condition your Colombia Q 😀🍺
Great Cylinder beautiful Phonograph some collection 👍🎷👌
Beautiful machine 🎷👌😀
Outstanding collection 👌 👍😀
Wow you have a beautiful Berliner Gramophone mint condition 👏 👍🎷
To me the 1910 version is better than the 1908.
It has a VERY large horn
What a fabulous machine, thank you for posting! But please keep in mind to play acoustical recordings on these early machines, the sound will be even better!
Frank Craps? His name is Frank Capps. I think you confused him with Thomas Crapper, inventor of the flush lavatory.
Great record!

😲😲😲😲😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘❤❤❤❤✌👌
Sound quality is very good for the time. I would definitely buy one if I had the coin back then.
Petition to make this canon for the backrooms whenever you encounter a smiler 😊
Backrooms smiler chase theme!
Awesome restoration. I heard Edison turned down the Nipper trademark so Victor bought it and changed the machine.
I think it was actually the British firm, Edison-Bell in London. Probably turned down by the boss Mr Hough himself..
Theme used for Monty Python's Flying Circus!
I have the same cylinder, nice too see other examples around.
A beautiful ,early one,record box.
Is this a berliner? It looks more like Victor Johnston hand wind from 1901. The cheapest machine next to the toy machine.
Wow! It sounds so good! :)
Hello, I would like to know more about this march. Is she a Cuban or American?
Dec. 1899 Gramophone Catalog: "Marcha por Herbert Romo Vergara, Instrumentacion de Fernando Villalpando, Director de la Banda Nacional de Aguascalientes." 0:44 0:44
@@zwebiejazz thanks
Great gramps busting out the forbidden moves after this comes on
love the break on this one
Cool beans 😎🤓
I hear this all the time at my parents. Billy Murry is my dads favorite.
Wish i had this cylinder! Live the piano and singing with blues influence
Thanks so much for taking the time to bring these voices back to life for us. I didn’t think it was possible to hear voices from 1910’s and 20’s so clearly. The musical arrangements are very impressive I did not think 1910 music sounded that good. These videos have changed how I think about time and history and people.
Deserves a ton more views! 👏
