Oh my God, how did this channel not take off like freaking crazy is beyond me? Anyways, I found it now and just subscribed. However, I see you have not been making videos for over a year now. Man, I hope you start making videos again! I'll do everything I can to push this channel. Not that I'm really anything special, but I'll help out as best I can! Great stuff. Great content! Be blessed!
I've might of rode it in Pomona CA line 484 MTA
Ex Los Angeles MTA? If so my Dad probably drove it. On MTA they had wheelchair assistance and could knell down
What happened to you guys, I got hooked, and now nothing. I pray that all are okay.
I'm intrigued.
awesome bus interior & great end to the video 😁
Where would you put the fan and no light for that shower? Imabine all the steam from the water what damage is going to cause due to no ventilation in that shower itself.
What happened to you? Are still in business?
RTS GMC BUS QUEENS JAMAICA BUSES INC.
Whats the cost on a rebuild update like this? I have one similar situation.
What material was used to delete the window, where the rear door was?
I'm so sad that we haven't seen any more updates on this one, or any new projects, I hope you guys are all okay. Would love to bring you mine.
Thank You so much
Two months ago, come on guys!!! We need another video.
Robert, I'm old enough to remember when 280s were new and there was a time that I wished I had one. They were very cool back then. Good luck with the restoration. As for that 4106 in the background, I've been waiting a long time to see the finished job. Any aidea as to when that will be
it's all in the detail
beautiful, and I love the subway tile in the shower
*I like the looks of that shower.
Think you could make a school bus look that good inside? I have a 1958 Mack School bus that I have put a 5.9 cummins engine in and 5x3 + 4x4 drive from a Duce & half. Instead of high & low it has (high speed) for highway; (mid drive)gravel road & a (low speed)for off road. You just put it in what range you need and uses the 5 speed as normal. So far I have spend $150,000 on it. The insides are gutted. I love the Desert Southwest. I have budgeted another $200,000 to trick it out, with slides and amenities. 🤷♂️

Judging by the size of that table saw I’m gonna take a wild guess and say you’ve probably got things under control. ruclips.net/video/Sd0v9wUN0I8/видео.html
I flew up to Ohio Friday, and picked up my MC9 Custom Coach conversion, had a friend from up there do the inspection, and he also offered to help me get it back home to Texas, it was a two and half day trip, between flights and driving, she did really well, besides a faulty tai light socket, that you had to slap every now and then, no other hiccups, the trip was a blast with lots of memories. I posted a few videos from the trip. Sure would love to be able to bring it to you guys for some upgrades, I don't want to mess it up. However I'm in love with coach, and once she is back up to par, I am going to take her out cruisin.
Thats my friend Walter, his wife came by to check on him before we left Ohio. There is a picture of me driving. ruclips.net/video/6-HEwWu5uSQ/видео.html
I enjoy how you teach, explain, etc… and that you are honest about a 3” mess up that in the end works out.
You guys have way too much time on your hands. ❤️👏👏👏🙀✌️
Absolutely stellar job on this one of a kind coach gentlemen. I scored a 1982 MCI MC9 Custom Coach this week, going to pick it up next weekend, it's a 1000 miles away from me, I should be fluent in driving it by the time we get home, my buddy will do any city driving, which we will try to avoid, and I will drive the rest of the time. Wish me luck.
Best of luck!
Still have yet to see a complete video of the wizardry that went into this coach.
We'll have an opportunity to put something together next month. Turns out, we're better at building coaches than we are at making videos!
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Why don't you cut and re flair your ac lines and get rid of all the excess redundant refrigeration line. And why you not also just run the condense lines out the bottom of the bus like all modern vehicles (can be gravity and syphon)? Was just wondering, as I've seen a couple of these ac installs where the lines aren't cut to length to fit.
Once again great job guys, I’m following along closely as I have a very similar bus 4107.in the next year or two will be doing the inside, we want to drive it a bit first to see how to best lay out the inside for our needs.our bus is pretty much gutted with new floors bed and toilet, tanks and basic plumbing.if I win lotto I will send it your way.thanks again for sharing you knowledge and ideas ,love your work….phil.
Hey Phil- love to hear it. And congrats on the bus!! So excited for you. Rumor has it we may have some kits available in the next year. So follow us on Instgram and FB, so you don't miss the info. Excited to see the evolution of your bus!
This bus is going to be awesome! Great video!!
We think so too! So glad you liked it.
You guys are good!
Thank you!
Keep on rockin gentlemen, can't wait.
Thanks Bill!
I absolutely love that booth, and the way you made the backs a little narrower, while rounding the outside lower seat frame, all to give you more room to move around, with that awsome Silversides type polished ribbed metal excusion at the bottom, exquisite. I really want a booth like this, and one that makes into a bed, in a MCI bus that I am looking to purchase, fingers crossed 🤞 anyway I would want to remove the two barrel chairs and wall table, and do something similar to this that would also match the existing trim in the bus, as it's a nice looking bus, still waiting for an inspection.
Excellent Informative Passionate ❤❤❤ The Best of the Best
Thank you Kent! We gotta get that MCI of yours in here!
You guys are definitely Custom! Beautiful Bus!!
Thank you very much!
This bus is ex-Golden Gate Transit 1146, Detroit Diesel 6V92TA + ZF 5HP590 powertrain! That takeoff still sounds hella beast 😎💯
Can't wait to see what all is going on inside the bus. Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas.
Cabinets are stunning. Will we get to see the finished cabinets, once they are installed?
Thanks! We’ll definitely cover that in future vids. Stay tuned!
I liked your 1minute table tour.
It's time for a new video guys, can't wait to see what's been going on.
need more videos guys😎
U give great information and do incredible work.
Beautiful teak shower ceiling. Main worry is will the adhesive survive moisture and high heat? These buses get hot in the sun and I have seem some contact cemented carpet come loose. I'm sure whatever you're using is stronger, but still worries me to rely on adhesives even though they've come a long way.
Thanks for the video. I’m not sure what kind of house batteries you’re using but I would not use the solenoid for alternator charging lithium batteries. You might know this 🤘🏼
Most mini splits do heating as well as cooling.
Thanks for the information on the battery hook up, love that shower, the customer will too.
What size mini split did you use, so many of these older conversions have roof air, unless you find a rare one still running the bus air. It makes for a much cleaner look, problem is doing something with the holes left from the roof air, what do guys do there? Make a sky light, add some fantastic fans, or just patch it over and seal it up?
Hi Bill! Thank you for your questions, we added them to the Ask Me Anything video we are releasing next week!
@@hightailcustomcoach Thanks buddy, keep up the good work. I am looking at a 79 Saudi MCI bus right now, and it has two roof airs, but only one bay that is opened, it is a large bay, but I would probably want to do an outside TV and small beer fridge on the one side. The front part of the bus has a wierd arrangement not much counter space, would need remodeling for sure, but it is a cool bus.
where do you get your veneers and curved plywood? I'm looking for a bus with an older conversion so that most of the systems are there, and just update it. I have found a 4106, but it may have already sold.
I've been looking at the 4106, I love the 4104s, but that 8V71 is hard to beat for performance, can't wait to see what you do to it, be sure and show some before and after shots.
Same! Or TC’ing a 4104.
@@creativeloafer9792 I posted that comment over a year ago, I wound up buying a 1982 MCI MC9 built by Custom Coach Corporation as a show coach, it's 42 years old now, and needs some love here and there, but the inside is beautiful, and it has a rebuilt engine with only 7k miles on it. I'll post a video. ruclips.net/video/siaszKB-KrQ/видео.htmlsi=9Fm4SYkPxHIKlSsV
