This is my first full build AND FIRST RUclips VIDEO EVER!!! I was super excited to do it and film it. Of course everything is really unprofessional, I just had fun. Here are the specs: MB: ASRock x470 Taichi Wifi CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700x CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62 GPU: MSI RTX 2070 Armor OC 8GB RAM: G.SKILL Trident-Z 4x16GB (64) 3200MHz PSU: Corsair RM650x Case: NZXT H500 Matte Black SSD: Samsung ...
I don’t know what your exactly using the pc for but why 64 gigs of ram. No hate just wondering
Hi, I am using it for gaming and 3D rendering and often it hits more than 30-40 gigs when rendering, that's why I need 64
Price?
hey dude, do you have cpu temps for this set up? NO VIDEO DISPLAYS THEM FOR THIS SET UP ITS A NIGHTMARE. idle temps and full load?
Hey, at idle CPU stays aroung 35-37 with momental spikes to 40-43 and on full load (for example when I'm rendering for a long time) it tops up at about 68-69.
@@bulspirit1222 😮 mine is idling at 45c with same set up
On my NZXT CAM software I’ve setuped everything on Silent mode (Fans and Pump). My Fan mode is set to CPU, and my Pump mode is set to Liquid. Also, I am using Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut thermal paste.
@@bulspirit1222 I'm using arctic mx-4 so shouldn't be that far off
Shaun K 91 Have you overclocked your CPU? Mine is running on stock. (It’s still jumping to 4,2-4,3 GHz on idle) but when I’m rendering it goes down to 3,9 and stays there until it’s finished rendering.
Hey nice build, can u put this ram at 3200? i have same board whit 2700, 4x8 trident z and cant up at 3200. if u can, what timings and volt? ty
Wait, for the Kraken X62, don't you attach the AMD retention bracket onto the already installed backplate of the motherboard? I'm looking at 'installing the pump' (AMD) in the instructions and it doesn't look like this here in the video. Hmm, please help if anyone knows, thanks
Perfect Code the backplate is only to mount the standoffs for the bracket. The bracket itself is attached onto the pump. My Kraken came with 2 brackets - for intel and AMD installation and it had the Intel one preinstalled, so I removed it and put on the AMD one which is the one in the video. You need to check in your box if you have another bracket that looks like mine and replace the Intel one.
bulspirit Thanks for the reply. So in this video I see the pre-installed backplate thing removed and just see the 4 standoffs in place, then the pump with bracket is attached to the standoffs and screwed in. Something like that. So I guess what I was wondering is If you you have to remove the thing originally in place on the motherboard or if you can just attach the AMD bracket to the pump, and then secure it to the thing originally in place?
@@PerfectCode I don't remove the backplate, it stays in place, I only remove the plastic things that are pre-mounted on the MB so that I can screw the standoffs to the backplate's holes and then you can put the pump with the bracket and screw it in place.
That's the only way to be done.
@@bulspirit1222 Gotcha. I guess I'm just confused because in the instructions on the NZXT website (Installing the Pump - AMD) it looks much simpler to install and that you could just attach the AMD retention bracket to the pump, and then attach that to pre-mounted plastic thing/backplate using the latch side. Then mount the hook screw side to the backplate and tighten the thumb but to secure to the pump to the backplate. Am I reading the instructions wrong or has the installation process changed since you first did this? Sorry for all the confusion lol
bruh wher is the part where u put the aio stand off why did u skip that part
To be hones I forgot to capture that part... *guilty noises
is it possible to bend those tubes the other way? your kraken tube goes up instead of down and i'm afraid when i try and install it i'll have the same, my ocd is tripping💀😂
Trust me, I tried... :D But by bending it the other way the tube leans on the GPU and I don't want that when it gets warm from gaming. May be if it is a case that has top mounting for dual/triple-fan AIO it might work as you say but in this case (ha, the pun) it didn't work as I wanted it to be.
bulspirit i want to get the h510 because of how good it looks and i've been looking for people putting the kraken in the nzxt h500/510 exactly for that reason, the tube is so long it hits the gpu which concerned me too when i saw it everywhere, but the struggle is real cause like, it looks so nice xD
bish imma girl it really looks nice but may be you can consider another case, although few are so good looking for such price as the NZXTs
It’s just a really sexy case this NZXT
bulspirit i know rightt
What song?
NOWË - Under The Sun
How much cpu temp on idle and fullload?
On idle - between 35 and 40 C, on full load tops out at 78 degrees.
It gets to 78 degrees only when I am rendering, when gaming it stays at about 55 degrees
How much did this cost
its Zaviation/Dash it was around 2700 US dollars when I convert my local currency
Ok thx
Nice clean build! I'm getting ready to build a nearly identical system. H510i 3700x with Asus Crosshair VIII same ram and AIO ;) NZXT has the best aesthetic out of everyone I think. They also make damn good quality products! I hope you're enjoying your first ever PC build :) Welcome to the PC Master Race, enjoy your stay at the top.
Thank you! Yes, I agree, NZXT have awesome tech, visually and practically.
I am building the exact build i have the same power supply and everything just diffrent ram and gpu when i checked with pc part picker it said that i need extra eps power connecter so if u dont mind me asking did you have any problems like did you have to buy like extra equipment? Thank you
Alkohaji No, don't worry. The power supply has every cable that you need no matter what GPU you put in.
bulspirit thank you ❤️
Hows that 2070 perform compared to previous gen gtx 1070 and 1080 whats your personal impression and experience performance wise.
2070 is very good
Hey, I haven't got to try 1070 or 1080, but considering that 2070 has like 10% better performance than 1080, I guess it will not be much more than 15-20% from the 1070. After all the 3 of them have 8GB VRAM, so the only difference will come from the MHz and the number of CUDA cores (also 2070 has some advantage because of the rtx technology used in some games and software). But 2070 is an awesome peace of GPU :)
Awesome build man. Great choice for components. Sign up for Amazon Affiliates so you can link each part and make some side money from you tubes.
Tech Minimalist Thank you!
nice pc
Thanks!
How much was all this! I’m gonna do this build
By the time I built it in January the parts were about 2700 US dollars.
Damn you have almost the exact same build as i do! i have the configuration in an h400i and with an asrock b450m steel legend. im still playing with the thought of buying the Kraken x62 for my system. do you have any Thermal results on hand you can share with me?
On idle and small usage the CPU stays between 30-45C degrees with the stock thermal paste that was applied on the cooler. On medium usage (gaming) it stays at about 55 degrees. When I push it do the limit (100%) with 3D rendering on 3DS Max (that's my job, I do 3D stuff) then the CPU gets to 76C degrees. At the end of June I have a plan to deep clean the PC and then I will change and the cpu paste with something good probably from Thermal Grizzly and then will see what temps I will get.
May i ask you ? on some shops i find kraken x62 without support for am4 is it in the box stock ? or do you need to order some extra pieces
Enriko Valanec I specifically checked in the shop I bought it from that it says AM4 support and yes - the AMD bracket was inside the box
@@bulspirit1222 thaanks man killer build !
Price
When I convert my local currency to dollars, at the time of purchase in January, it was about 2700 dollars
Hello, i am Brazilian and i love you first Pc Building TimeLapse! You have a new subscribe!
Nice build man. I'm doing a very similar one, except with only 2x 8gb ram and samsung 500gb m2, 470 gigabyte motherboard and a 2080 rtx but everything else is the same. Glad to see how good it looks. Does the case feel small or would you say it's a normal sized mid tower ?
I would say it feels just the size it has to be haha, not small, not big but perfect. Smooth build you are doing, nice.
Did you switch out the case fans or kept the NZXT fans?
planning on buying this exact build from NZXT but just want to check how your experience has been with the noise
Lover_flow I kept the original fans, it’s quite silent, the fans stay at low rpm and the temperatures are perfect
bulspirit appreciate it!
bulspirit what has your primary use been with this build?
bulspirit also I see you went with a 650 watt power supply, has that been enough or do you think you should have went higher, I know this build doesn’t create that much wattage but since I plan on buying pretty much the exact one I wanted your take on it.
If you Don't mind me asking how much did the full build run you?
Stormlord Well, when I convert our local currency to dollars, it’s about 2700 dollars - a price from 3 months ago
@@bulspirit1222 damn .i invest more in CPU and mobo. Isn't 64 gb of ram too much??😂 just asking btw
@@khamnung-saowa It's too much if you only use it for gaming, but I use it for 3D rendering and sometimes depending on the 3D file it can max out the RAM :D so 64 is good for my job.
@@bulspirit1222 is it CPU powerful? When are you going to upgrade? I bought 2700x just yesterday but people recommend me to return and wait for the 3700x. Will ryzen 2700x be good enough for the coming next 3-4 years? I am using it for music production.😃
@@khamnung-saowa I'm not familiar with the new series, haven't looked at specs yet, but I hope I don't have to change my CPU in the next 2-3 years, it's doing great job for me so far and I don't really need something else at the moment. When will the new series be released?
Neat build. Hope one day this will be a tech channel.
daniel p Thanks man! Only the future will show us!
Hey man! Really nice build, absolute beast for a first build. If I were to give you any recommendations for a future build it would be to definitely put the graphics Card in last to make plugging in other cables and cable management easier without struggling to fit your hands under the card. Also, try to mount the cooler on the CPU before it goes in the case. Other than that, amazing job for a first build!
j0sh Thanks man, you are right, I’ll take your words into account!
The Dutch Mystery Man It comes preapplied on the cooler, not to worry haha
