When you’re doing all the double time licks are you ghost tonguing or mostly slurring? The sax looks and sounds incredible!

Fantastic smooth sound

The VI was more free blowing and definitely had more character. The Supreme was okay but it could be compared to any yamaha, or any other the newer horn. The ergonomics were better on VI as well as I can hear it in your technique. But you're a great player either way!

I just bought one 3 weeks ago, very satisfied.

"Highly annoying," indeed. I can only practice so much in my tiny apartment, and I generally play songs so my neighbors and landlady *think* they are listening to the radio or whatever, rather than a musician, because everybody knows that people hate musicians (especially landlords...). So I do it outside, and coyotes show up.....

Progressively brighter to darker, less magic to more.....

Great horn there was A choice of JL horn and another company begins with Ne for I was looking for a lighter tenor when I called John with questions, he took the time out to answer all my concerns great guy the other brand had no phone number I texted them they never texted me back or called me back I had questions with no reply so I went with JL I'm glad I did ... thanks John

Yes they do! I Haven’t played a bad 80k - 100k yet! When set up properly, they are “all” killer horns.

Hard horns to find , nobody sells the used ones at all, that says a lot about the horn

And there’s the controversy between the modern (1950s) “focus” tone vs. the earlier “spread” tone of a Conn Naked Lady or such. Notwithstanding reed & mouthpiece this Selmer is “trying too hard” for Selmer liveliness and sophistication. A cross between Selmer and King? No thanks! I’ll stay with my 1938 Conn Naked Lady.
