Shri. Ambarish Das, a dynamic vocalist of the Kirana Gharana enthralled the audience in a full length concert hosted in Pune on 22 June 2024. After an expansive Puriya and GaudMalhar, he presented two splendid compositions in Raag Bihag. The madhyalaya bandish in Jhaptaal is a rarely heard one. It repeats each word twice, giving the bandish a unique lilt in poetry, rhythm, and Raag as well. The drut was robust with taan-s and tayyari.
Ambarish ji was ably accompanied by Saumitra Kshirsagar on harmonium Parth Tarabadkar on tabla, Alhad Alsi and Aalok Alsi on Tanpura and vocal support.
