Flying my MT0Sport around the Hunter Valley with Ben
Reminds me back in the memorable time when completing my CPL + MEIR at NASA Cessnock. Thanks for posting. For NASA graduates, keep up your health and spirits. You must be very old by now. Cheers from Jakarta.
Oh look. I can see my place from here!
Nice. We're staying in the back cabin this weekend so thanks for whetting our appetites. Cheers!
Why the music :( dont people learn, we dont want to listen to music, we want the sounds
Michael Sparks especially crap music like this !
Music has no function at all.
Is the Air Speed Indicator accurate? It looks like you are getting airborne at 45 to 50 mph?
Yes, that's accurate. According to the POH, the "green arc" airspeed range for the Cavalon is from 16 to 70 knots, with the best rate of climb at 46 knots.
1:14 How can the lifting rotor start turning when the Cavalon is still stationary on the ground ?? I thought it had no engine connection.
+TavernSenses Pre-rotator. This takes power off the engine via a belt to get the rotor up to speed.
No belt in a Cavalon....clutch plate
Классно!!! Только музыка лишает чувство реального полета.
I've been here so many times I've lost count
Absolutely fabulous, I have travelled the roads to n fro from Cessnock/Denman many times, never seen it from the air (only google earth) thanks for taking the time to upload the clip and share it with us cheers Dennis

Wow, great trip and nice videography... what a blast! It must be so amazing having such reliable machines you can fly off the coast without life gear on and not have to worry about flying over built up areas, tiger country and clouds and stuff.... without worrying that the engine might stop.... fantastic!
Great clip, thank you very much mate
thanks for taking us along, great views!
Great clip...love Jerusalem hymn and Parry music too... Well done, Jonathan
I want one so bad. I see they are coming to SA soon. Need to do my conversion. I have my fixed Wing PPL.
If you need to get places quick id go for an airplane... but if you want to have fun flying you cant go past modern Gyrocopter/Autogyros...
how do you like this thing vs an airplane?
Outstanding video and music selection for same....Well Done!
American engineers wake up! Germans are kicking your ass. I just put down a deposit. Jim Stockbauer, Austin, Texas
Great video I'm in a fortunate position in that I take ownership in about a months time can't wait , training in a mots at he mo which is totally different experience its like the motorbike in the sky where the cavalon is protected from the elements but you can take the doors off for local flying as you can't take them with you..
Well done guys looked like a good trip.
the Cavalon is just great, and a Big Break though in Gyroplanes, Hope fully i will fly in one later this year, Well done Autogyro, David
is it comfortable and roomy or tight and stiff?
its pretty windy back their... just like the open cockpit version ... i sit in the front thou, nice and warm ... lol
bit over $100,000 - depending on specs.
How bad is the wind blast in the backseat with the summer canopy ?
Wow... The visibility is fantastic.
Nice one Warren, great little trip...
thanks for sharing (in HD!)
Nice video, but the music back ground & sound effects are distracting. Please post again with take off and landing views added and please, no music. I see a few blanked gage panels is this gyro IFR and VFR rated? Also if sold in the U.S, what the end/total cost?
More videos of the New Cavalon at my channel, Go check it out!
The Cavalon as a realy nice design, but what a bad visibility!
(From a rotorhead) Can you fly doors off?
Yes, you can fly with one or both doors removed. The Vne is reduced from 160 km/h to 130 km/h, which is also the Vb and the top of the green arc.
I really enjoyed your clip, thank you! Tasteful music and imaginative vidcam work, not to mention that fabulous machine of yours :-)
Price - 170,000$
@netguru52 Download the video
The only problem is you have to land eventually. Love this Gyro
Amazing!! Muy buen clip!!!
great clip, fun to watch!
How incredible! 1 day I want to fly these!!
nice clip & impressive machine :)
nice clip & a pleasure to watch :)
great video
prefer your mate
What type of gyro Pete? We do like them all :-)
Nice wheel balance mate & great scenery :-) The airbase does not cause any problems for Cessnock. Jeff (MTO)
Yes hangered here..call me for details - 0407 904 016
Well done - bitumen strip must be nice to land on. Do you hangar at Cessnock? If so what does it cost and is there gyro storage available? We're commuting from Sydney to Murrumbo (Hunter Valley Gyro Club). The travel (300kms each way ) is gruelling and limiting our hours. Would be very interested in a closer option.
yes very annoying - ill try to fix that for the next vid - still learning how to get best results.
