Benjamin Mee
Добавлен 9 июн 2014
This channel has been created to show some of the videos that feature Benjamin Mee and Dartmoor Zoo. Benjamin is a Zoo Director, Motivational Speaker, Author, and Journalist, and he is deeply interested in the communication of science and the expansion of Dartmoor Zoological Park's educational and research departments. The zoo itself has great links with Plymouth University, and focuses of the zoo include studies on animal intelligence as well as breeding, conservation and reintroduction programmes.
Benjamin Mee is the author of 'We Bought A Zoo', which was turned into a film of the same name starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson. He is currently working towards turning Dartmoor Zoo into a charity in order to secure it's future, something he has been fighting for since his family bought it in 2006.

'Keepers for a day' Claire and Simon created some enrichment for African Lion Jasiri under the guidance of DZP Keepers Kate and Holly. A 70 kg log was fitted with a chain to which was attached a piece of meat. The idea behind this piece of enrichment was to give Jasiri a bit of a work out for his neck and legs. Cleaning out the Meerkats at Dartmoor Zoo
I like their dinosaur feet, like a hippopotamus' feet but the animal is somewhat nicer looking. Even though their face looks like an unearthly alien. Neat seeing videos of these exotic creatures.
So theyre basically a rhino looking cat 😂
There catching on Franky.
donkey elephant pig
Echte supersterren man
I know you from the movie , We bought a Zoo❤. Would Love to visit someday , I am from India.
Oh wow, first mamnal I've seen that has 5 legs!!, amazing. 1:10
SWEET THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy stroking it looks like a Tapir, like owners look like their dogs.
Having a Tapir as a pet, is that possible in Mexico w all due respect? I would not want one if that is not better for them
very cute, however back in '91 when I was 20 me and my squeeze where visiting a wildlife park when one got all excited and swum over to see us but it shit in the water and the STENCH !!!!!!!
They're gorgeous! I never realised they grew this big.
hay
For God's sake, MAN, act like you mean it! What does it take to get good help??
Hello from Timor leste i really like your story youre a great fahter in the world
Dog elephant
I was looking up farm raised tapir because I've always wanted to eat one
I know you from Insomnia Chanel .. your so Kind .. happy always for your Familly
All I see there is food
Protect our species ❤
amazing zoo!😊👍✨
Like hippos tapirs don't float in water....underneath the skin they are a tank made of 100% muscles. Ofc unlike hippos who would even turn professionals into an obituary you can pet a tapir and live.
Who else Miss Spelt V-Tapor and got this
Omg i just love tapirs when you see them you cant not be obbsessed as you can see my literal logo is a brazillian tapir and my dream is too own one ,one day
A dreadful job, but somebody has to do it! 😂
You are right, I would never work with these animals.
Your story inspires me to live this life
Kamu pria yang, sangat baik. Cerita mu meng inspirasi
They want belly rubs ❤ like a dog
I thought that the zoo was in the States after watching the dvd We Bought a Zoo, so this was a bit of a surprise. Great to see that the zoo has continued to progress. You deserve to have a wonderful life. Love those squeaky Otters. Thanks for sharing.
I got clickbated and i ain't mad 😂😊
Put some fly protection on them!
They're beautiful!
Do they bite?
Who knew? erotic tapir androgynous zone arousal that's a very gifted animal, dragging... belly rubs key to successful artificial insemination, does the girl Tapir rub the boys belly to get it ready for coitus? She must have some capacious inner anatomy to make that fit
The tapir is very similar to the bull I had years ago. All he wanted was belly rubs, sack rubs, chin rubs, and nose scratching. This huge animal weighted close to two tons. He only wanted to be loved just like the tapir. Both animals must of been related somehow. Only difference was the size. That is so cool animals are so trusting love lugs.
Sack rubs?
Hahaha sack rubs?!
@@GreenCanvasInteriorscape lmao
That sounds crazy but it is true. This animal would follow me into hell. Just unbelievable how this animal had a connection with me. He sired thousands of offsprings. Would just love to have another BULL BULL again. I never was able to have another and now I am retired At least I have memories. Oh Great memories. . . @@iahwhite3875
"Why you should never put your head in a crocodile's mouth"
lovely, great work, very in tune with the tapirs
But how do they taste?
Not many people plan on working with tapirs but they look quite nice
I sat in on a few zoo animal autopsies. A cougar, a bear and then a tapir. I walked out of the tapirs autopsy it just looked sad and hurt my heart.
oh please!
Always my top fave at zoos
I just want to know how to cook them.
I kow they are cute as f... and people seem to love them. But I'm from Brazil, their native land, and I can tell you that when found in their natural habitat they can be very aggressive and cause serious harm to humans.
i dunno about the cute bit... friendly sure.... cute no
I didn't know Tapirs had 5 legs!?
Is there a specific reason this guy is so bad at giving scratches? It was almost painful to watch. You wanted the hands to be moving and giving satisfying scratches.
I never thought there are 5-leg animals.
Their distribution is just weird. Three species in South and Central America and one in Southeast Asia. They were once much more widespread, but I can't think of another group of animals that have such a weird global distribution.
ugh that 'music'
