Good advice, mate. There’s a hole in the engine block (near the right driveshaft) where you can see the flywheel. I believe that for engines without a holed pulley, there’s a hole in the flywheel to lock it. On the other hand, engines with a 4-bolt pulley that has a hole don’t have a locking hole on the flywheel and then you have to lock it by the crankshaft as you have done it. Do you know if the part that’s held by 4 bolts is 100% fixed to the crankshaft with a keyway? Or can it move?

The music is louder than you are old bean, aside from that though, good video. Why people add music to otherwise good content will never fair to stump me.

As previously mentioned, lose the music. Personally I would touch up the cut edges with zinc rich paint and leave out the welding. If you do weld, dont forget to disconnect the battery.

So how do you get the cable to come out of the engine bay from the pedal side? I've released all the connectors and the holders from the gearbox but it just WILL NOT come out - I've had my big mate ragging and pulling on it and it ain't coming out Cheers Tom

Hi could you give me some advice please. I have a Peugeot 308 1.5 16v bluehdi 2019. I have done a cam belt kit change after I did the chain. I believe the crank is 2 turns and cam is 1 turn which is why I have to turn engine over 2 times by hand to get both cam and crank locking pins to locate. I believe some people have turned the crankshaft a extra turn which would make it 180 degrees out even tho it still locks with pin so 1 would think it's tdc. Well I think this might be my problem as when fitting new tensioner it gave up and belt was loose so crank maybe turned some.. well I'm not sure if my crank/fly is in the right place, I did turn the engine by hand 6 times and it seemed fine and ran the car but it didn't feel great this maybe because of that or the fact I had injectors lit ect., so I have recently turned the crank 180 and locked it ect.. and again I turn engine 6 times and its fine no interference. I've ran the car it seems ok but not great just similar to before little rough. Well I need to go back into the cambelt assembly to fit a new cam seal and new crank aux pully so I'm asking how would I know if my crankshaft is in the correct place while I am doing this repair I want to make sure it's correct and not have to go into cam assembly again. Any help.i would appreciate it alot
