I find this video really helpful. I was always curious on how things work in alishan recreational forest during afternoon until evening.
Wait this is such an elaborate camp set up I love it haha

Nice video dude! I'm thinking of going camping in Alishan (in the wild), you think that'd be possible somewhere near the lookout point?
Camping isn't allowed anywhere in the park unfortunately. But I believe there are a few campsites near the park.
02:12 , 02:37 , 05:31 , 14:16 , 15:12 , 17:42 , 20:30 , 21:46
01:52 , 06:26 , 08:30 , 10:25 , 17:15 , 19:20
Good vedeo
finally found a video with a sunrise view without the "lonely tree" in front of the camera. thanks.
Thank you for sharing about to go there on this Friday. May I ask details on how to book the train for watching sunrise? Also, how do you commute within national park? Thank you.
You can take the train throughout the park and it runs every 30min and you buy the tickets at any of the train stations. The sunrise train needs to be bought the day before you want to watch the sunrise (before 4pm) and you can buy them at Alishan Station 0:25
Nice video!
What time did you go hike and see the clouds? :)
I started hiking at around 3pm
Can you share your itinerary for alishan please 🥹🙏🏼
My trip was super short since I was short on time. I recommend staying a day or two longer. Day 1: - I took THSR departing Taipei Main at 8:30am and arriving to Chaiyi Station at 10am. I then took a bus up to Alishan and arrived there at 1pm (The bus only runs a few times a day so check the times) - I got lunch, rode the train, and then hiked to Xiaoliyuanshan Lookout Point for the sunset (start hiking down before it gets dark, don't be like me) - I then checked in at my hotel and ate dinner Day 2: - woke up at 4am and got to Alishan station at 5am for the sunrise train (need to get tickets the day before) - rode the train up and watched the sunset then hiked back down to eat breakfast and check out of my hotel - hiked around the entire park until late afternoon. - took the bus back down to Chaiyi Station and then THSR back to Taipei Main
Taiwan is such a beautiful country!
Yes, and with the nicest people
Taiwan is a province of China, not a country.
Thank you for sharing this! I’d like to ask, since you entered Alishan twice, did you pay for the entrance twice too?
I paid once since the fee is paid when you enter the recreation area here 0:19. Within the recreation area there are hotels, restaurants, etc.
@@shanwen__lo Thank you! Your video will serve as my guide when I visit Alishan two weeks from now!
@@TheAwakenedNomad I am excited for you!!
ทางขึ้นเวียนหัวมากค่ะ
How to ride
@ Alishan National Forest in Taiwan - Just need to buy a ticket at the train station
What’s the hotel name?
I stayed at Gau Shan Ching Hotel

hi friend! yes I hope you get to experience Japan!
we've been there to alishan too lasr month but sad to say we haven't seen the botanical grden and the sea of clouds there its so nice to see in your videos.
Interesting location 😍 Thank you for showing this :)
Did you ride the alishan train going up or going back to taipei? Or u just did bus? Will I be missing a lot if I don’t ride the alishan train? The train schedule just sucks at it only runs once daily,
I took the bus both ways. The train I rode was the one that takes you around the park.
@@shanwen__lo How long does the bus ride take?
@@SimonRider228 from Chiayi Station it took 2.5 hours
Nice
may we ask, is there a recommended lodge for overnight stay in jiufen, as one appreciates the beautiful night scene? thank you for the beautiful vlog.
Sunshine B&B, Something Easy, and 陽光味宿 are some good hotels but if you are on a budget there are a lot of hostels too.
Hey I chanced upon your video, and it’s really great!! I’m going over to Taiwan + alishan too, do you have your itinerary to share or something?😀😀
