But since this is a dynamic microphone, it provides the most decent audio at a proper distance between 2 to 6 inches from your mouth to the top of the mic and sets the mic gain at your desired loudness. Then the background noise won't be easy to notice under these settings. You'll sound even better when mounting it on a boom arm. We have some nice boom arms too. Welcome to have a look :)
