Shame we don't see more of the pianist. Also the sound balance reduced the contribution of the piano, to the extent that the last few important notes on the piano were inaudible.

Like them or not, these two were at the top of their game and had their own TV show for nine years. Then they did Pantomime and a few TV appearances; they weren't Morecambe and Wise but they were the best of the rest in the 1980s. Can't really argue with the public.

What a treasure! As a harpsichordist myself, I adore François Couperin "Le Grand" as a consummate composer in a broad range of musical contexts. As for Davitt Moroney, he has long been admired by me, especially for his pioneering complete recording of Le Grand's uncle Louis Couperin's harpsichord works on historical instruments and many splendid recordings plus printed editions since that time. Thank you so much for making this available!
