I'm unsure about Araquinid, I've used it in the past and its really underwhelming but some people have used it incredibly well. I do think Metagross makes opponents struggle in prep because of its access to both rocks and knock off as well as physical and special sets (versatility). Really unsure about talonflame and raichu though, you definitely do need a ground resist if you are tera'ing hydrapple.

He needed to click Protect again the 2nd time he came in with Jirachi, it is not that you have to click all other moves in the battle it is each time you hit the field. That is why Last Resort sets usually are paired with Fake Out or Protect and no other moves

Gen5. Never hated on it, and only being able to use new mons was such a cool concept. It also had a great regional dex (darmanitan, seismitoad, chandelure, galvantula, vanilluxe, ferrothorn, jellicent male, reuniclus, eelektross and scolipede. Those are all at least 8.5/10 for me, and there are other great ones)
