Ice Machine FIX! Evaporator Plate Separation Long harvest cycle
how long did it take to grow this big?
It was a nightmare to get it removed
Agreed! What a pain, hopefully you won’t have to do that again
Dude! Have to try this, thanks for the recipe and video!
You’re welcome! Hope you enjoy it!
What would be my measurement ratio for 6 reaper peppers? That is all I grew this year. 😢
That’s a tough one and sorry to hear that your pepper harvest was light this year….6 is still plenty to make a decent batch of sauce…I’d make the mash and add vinegar until it suits your taste…best of luck!
Maybe you can send me some in the mail 😂😅
I did have a bunch this year…I dried some this time…should be good for all sorts of things. I also had a bunch of peppers that unfortunately went to waste as it has frosted here and killed the plants 🌱….bummer
@@ThisThat007 I thought of dehydrating the pulp with some onion skins and garlic skins for a no waste seasoning.
You saved me a lot of money i was about replacing the evaporator thank you a lot
Glad to be of service!
I think mine might be worse, the opposite sides are popping out when I’m working on either side lol. But it’s way better now hopefully it’s starts spitting em out.
Ha! Well, I hope it works out for you. Good luck!
Looks great for how long do you think will be work???
Still working!
what can i do to fix the problem other than a hammer and screwdriver with a long harvest cycle??
These are welded on. Once those welds start breaking there’s not much you can do other than what I came up with….past that, you can order a new plate. Hopefully you figure something out…thanks!
@@ThisThat007 I can't glue them somehow??or put silicone or glue in the gaps??there is no way
@thanosgeorgopoulos5885 you can try, not likely going to work just due to the nature of the fact that the plate heats up and freezes so water will get behind everything and bust it all out
what can i do to fix the problem other than a hammer and screwdriver with a long harvest cycle??
you can't make it stick somehow??
Why do you play annoying music in the background?
I guess to annoy you 🤷♂️ Glad to be of service
why is this guy so nervous...
They it and find out
😂 that don’t make no sense don’t get it on you but eat it👍
Go team!
I don't know if straining with microfiber is right... it's mainly made of plastic and chemical dye. Some particles might get into the sauce. Not so yummy Otherwise fantastic video, enjoyed watching!
I was about to call for the service, you have just saved me some money. Thank you
Glad to know it worked!
Some recommended to 'cook' the liquid before bottling, that would stop further fermentation. Some don't. What is the better way?!
Lol, a "bio-hazard."
For sure!
Would this work for a Maxx ice mim452, taking longer than 4 minutes to harvest
It should
Hi sir wht type root welding for ice mould scootman ice mesin..my English broken sorry
Hi! The plate is welded and then dipped in a nickel plating tank essentially. Because of this it is not really possible to fix on your own. Best of luck!
I'm praying I have the same result everyone else is having, I'm update yall shortly 6/8/24 9:28pm. Edited 6/11/24 it actually did work my problem was probe was to close to grid, but the separated are holding fine thank you. 😁😁😁
Best of luck!
@ThisThat007 it didn't work for me, I noticed about 3 of the vertical plates separated, I seen a couple evaporater on ebay in China for around $600 new would you trust it?
Bummer! Sorry to hear that….what kind of machine are you working on? Sometimes you can find another on marketplace that is broken for a different reason and can then swap parts. Not sure that I’d trust a Chinese brand for this due simply to the fact that you can’t know/trust how it’s made and with what materials….especially for making something that you consume. Best of luck on your quest!
@ThisThat007 thanks for the advice, it's an manitowoc model ID0452A-161
Can’t thank you enough for taking the time to post this video. And for explaining the challenges that you ran into with the clips on the bottom. I just received a MotoHorn (sounds like a Train Horn) that I plan to mount behind my grille. Its going to get used a lot in caravans over the next 6mo leasing up to the 2024 election. #TRUMP2024.
Nice! Glad you found it helpful, it’s a pain but can be done without breaking everything in the process. Good luck!!
@@ThisThat007 - Much obliged! God Bless and here’d to a Great 2024, at least for the 7mo we have left! Thanks again!!!
Fantastic video! I too make my own carolina reaper pepper sauce. My latest bat h is very mild and made with red bell peppers, fresno peppers and Carolinas. I also added garlic and fermented it for 30 days. The mash is mediun course and after the ferment i added 40% by weight white wine vinegar, then jarred it and sirred it once per day for 4 months. Then strained it just like you did in this video and bottled it. My friends say its some of the best hot sauce theyve ever had, probably because its free. (Freeloaders) thank you for the video, i loved it!
Sounds delicious!
I am so excited to try this! I have a soda fountain at my home and I have been banging the horizontal slats back into place like every single day growing more and more frustrated because they keep slipping out and causing the ice not to drop and caking onto the evaporator plate. Thank you for sharing this idea! I paid $1,100 for my ice machine and did not want to have to do that again!
Let me know how it goes! Thanks for watching!!
The whole gloves and mask thing is bullshit, mammals have receptors that react to the capsicum. It doesnt harm you in any way. You may think you are on fire but its a reaction.
Interesting
Nice system, both of my arrays are ground mounts. Exactly why I went totally off grid. My electricity company is trash. My system allows me to either power individual circuits from the grid or the Solark. 99.99% of the time the house runs off solar and batteries. The best part is when there's a power outage in the neighborhood I don't even know about it.
That’s pretty sweet! I need to look into something like that. Take care!
Going to try it tomorrow.. I’ll let you know.. thanks
Good luck!
Fermented peppers can mess you up bad if not done correctly. I wont touch them.
Meh
As long as you take the proper steps, it is OK. But I will agree. If you do not know what you’re doing it can be a problem
Need a video how to dehidrate the pulp!
Pepper season is coming up! I’ll add that to my list
Amazing video
Thank you!
Did you get any flak from the power company or from the AHJ for the wood racking was going to do the same myself.
No, actually that was just fine…they can’t really say anything as it’s not much different than a roof mount really. Plus it looks better in my opinion. Have a good one!
I can’t even get my small ratchet down in there to release the drain bolt. Great video though. Very helpful.
Glad it helped!
Good video ! Cool idea.
Thanks!
Terrible video
Would love a small bottle to try!
I wish I still had one to give 😂. Thanks for watching!
@@ThisThat007 remember me for next time 😍👍🏻
Great video
Thank you!
The horizontals slats can be pulled off. You have to pull it from each side and keep it even on both sides. I’ve had a Scotsman’s machine that is missing 4-5 rows. Been running fine for a couple years now.
Cool!
how do you ferment without using vinegar? all other videos i watched, everyone was using vinegar
Vinegar slows/kills the fermentation process…you’re essentially pickling at that point. You want to ferment as I’ve done in the video here for a week or two (or longer depending on your environment and end goal) and then add vinegar to stop the process. Conversely you can also cook the fermented goodness to stop the process as well. Hope this helps and good luck!
I just followed the instructions on this video I didn't have fresh garlic so I used minced as a substitute and it is a really great recipe! It reminds me of the habanero sauce in Oaxaca
Nice! Glad it worked out for you!! Thanks for watching
Helped a lot. I hit a deer.
Nice!
It saved my days of effort having to replace it, not to mention the cost of part and labor. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant idea and it worked perfect for me.
Glad it worked for you! Take care
I coughed just watching
Serious stuff for sure
That sauce looks delicious!
Thank you! It turned out really well. Thanks for watching!
Is it raw ACV? My guess is no
Well, then your guess would be wrong 😂. It is indeed raw AND unfiltered. Thanks for watching!
Your guess would be wrong
Don't want to use ones that's looking rotten how about not use green under developed ones either ?
I don’t know, still pretty hot tbh
His gasmask made me laugh for sure. And yes, I do make my own sauces and powders and know that it keeps itching even after all those times.
Truth!
Can you tell me what you did about the side and top clips when you installed. Did you turn the clips 1/4 turn again or did you unhook and install in the grill then push into the holes? I am having a problem figuring out what to do.
If I remember correctly I put them in the grill and then installed into front end of the vehicle…it made it easy to insure that the clips were installed correctly in the actual grill. Just take your time lining it up when you got to put it back…hope this helps.
First thanks for the video and in that note please don't be offended by the suggestions I am about to offer. Please do something about your sound. It was very mumbled and I almost left the video because of that. Please also in the future explain ALL details. You speak briefly about the side fasteners but fail to mention how you removed them, which I found out was exactly like the top fasteners. You take out some kind of red tool and wave it around the front of the truck, but it has nothing to do with the fasteners. On one final note, if you had some close up views of the final stage where you remove the bottom clips that would help to show the exact location of the pry bar. Thank you
Agreed on all parts, I plan on redoing the video the next time I remove the grill. Thanks for watching and the suggestions, take care!
Why did you rip out the bush?
Winter ❄️
Got it, ty @@ThisThat007
Anytime!
Just figured out after months of searching my middle row was sticking out causing incomplete sheets of ice to fall and block door. Going to try this fix today. Thank you.
Good luck!
