Pelican - An Inch Above Sand :: GUITAR TAB & COVER
A fun one! When they play this live the top guitar seems to be in Drop B tuning, but I tabbed it for B standard to keep things consistent.

Tuning: C# A D G A C#. I love this song. It's fairly straightforward to play, as far as Russian Circles songs go. Feels so nice to play as well. Hope you all enjoy this tab! 😊 GEAR ESP LTD EC-1000 Yamaha THR-10 Dunlop DVP3 Valhalla Supermassive for ambient parts

Hopefully this inspires someone who is better at pinch harmonics than me lol. This is my take on HWY 74. I wasn't happy with the other tabs online so I transcribed it myself. I took a lot of creative liberties with this one and there are parts that are definitely different than how Josh played it, but it makes it more enjoyable for me to play. I'm happy with it. This should also be playable in ...

Pelican is closer to Doom than Post-Metal, and you can't change my mind. This tab is a sort of hybrid between the live and studio version, I took my favorite parts of both and put them together. The bridge section feels so good to play, especially when using delay with a long decay. You can kind of improvise this part a bit and make it your own. GEAR Yamaha THR10 on Modern PRS Vela S2

It's an interesting song to play. Not exactly difficult, but keeping the tapping clean for the whole song while changing positions up and down the fretboard can be somewhat tricky. It's an excellent exercise for practicing this style of tapping. For the tapping parts, with the left hand I held the octave shape that we play during the strumming parts, that's how Mike plays it live. GEAR: ESP LTD...

Oh man it's been so long I can't remember exactly, but I use a Yamaha THR-10 on the modern setting. Messing around just now I got a similar tone with the gain at 9 o clock, bass 11 o clock, mids 12 o clock, and highs 1 o clock. Also for the video in my DAW I EQ'd out the low end around 160hz and added a slight boost around 850hz. Hope this helps!
